He might want to go to Geelong, but every other club now knows that he is available, and can make their own offers as wellmagpieazza wrote:Anyway just listening to trade radio and SOS saying we could walk (not preferable though ) Henry to the draft.
SOS said he has had 2 years of development put in him so that increases his market value.
I wouldnt walk him to the draft but I hope Geelong get a bit windy and end up throwing us a future first rounder hopefully.
Henry will be a ripper I reckon, so hope we get a good deal at least or keep him.

geelong is not much cheaper than ,melbourne, a lot of the players live in the costal resort towns, unless your talking toorak, it doesnt apply! and my melbourne rates for a larger house/land are cheaper than my holiday house!magpieazza wrote:With all the talks of players wanting to go back to their home clubs with poor ol Suns and GWS wearing the brunt of it, it makes me wonder why Geelong dont have want away players...
I know theres the home grown country living style but cheaper accommodation deals should get factored into the salary cap.
Much the same or opposite to how Sydney have a higher salary cap, Geelong should have their side offers investigated or simply have their salary cap lowered.
but yes, im betting the y pay under the table. frank costa was an areshole, well hated by a lot of rate payers, me included!
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!
Sure - I understand the frustration.magpieazza wrote:I deliberately went the extreme side of things to start a debate.
I know its fanciful but for all my teenage years to now Im sick of seeing Geelong in the finals and its not a cyclical thing either.
They get Braun and Henry and away they go again.
Can Collingwood players take a paycut so we can dominate for the next 40 years please ?
Frustrated sorry but not sorry.
Remember though that neither Henry or Bruhn were in the best 22 at the end of the season. Cats also lose someone like Selwood - so not sure getting these two locks them in for 2 or 3 more flags either.
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...
