I hate losing a player for nothing but for a player that hasn’t serviced the club for very long if Geelong don’t fairly compensate better to lose than strengthen a club we will again challenge in finals assuming we hopefully get there again.
If he’d been on the list 4 years I see it differently has at least returned something.
They would still get him...

Reading they are offering pick 38. Enjoy playing at North next season young man.
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

Watershed moment for the club. Must be prepared to get nothing for him.

Unless North pass on him and he winds up getting to somewhere like Carlton for free.

Yeah I reckon he'd go alright as 3rd tall behind Dumb and Dumber over there.

Nicks would have to be covered in a half kilometre of concrete, what with the meltdown and all

Considering we would have a pick before Geelong in the PSD, I would re draft him if he was available just to p*ss the cats off.

I reckon we just have to stand firm.
Pick 38 of course is rubbish, and (if true) is a provocative jab in the ribs to see how we react.
Naturally, we just ignore it, and give it the contempt it deserves. If they really want him, they will make an acceptable offer.
Maybe, if Ollie sees that they don't make an acceptable offer, we can use that to suggest to him that we actually want him more, so stay with us.

Geelong are being very greedy.

They want all these young players, but are not willing to trade fairly. They are getting an absolute bargain from the Suns and they also want to get that Falcons kid with the pick 7.

We all want the best deals for our club. But this is also about helping each other out and coming to a fair conclusion. I thought Dodoro was the only one who made ridiculous offers.

In 2002 Collingwood traded Nick Davis to the Swans in return for pick 22. That ended up being Bo Nixon.

We gave in then. We could have used him in 2003. Instead, he basically wins Sydney the Prelim and plays in the Premiership in 2005. It's a tragic tale.

I dont want another Nick Davis scenario.

We also traded in a former Brownlow medallist for pick 14 that year.

Young gun out, former Brownlow in...

“Geelong has offered Collingwood pick 38 for Oliver Henry. That’s way unders. Way, way, way unders.

“They are low-balling Tanner Bruhn, a former pick 12 as well. They want to keep hold of their pick 18 and supposedly their pick 7.
So they wont trade 7 or 18 or next years first. Yet they want Henry and Bruhn?

Wish Bowes picked another club, they dont deserve pick 7. WTF are Gold Coast doing?? What a gift that is. And then to offer absolute crap for the players they want. Greed.

And then "Sav" asks for a trade to Port and they say no. :?

This is interesting though:
Rival clubs have reportedly begun circling contracted Cat Cooper Stephens as a potential target this trade period, with the youthful midfielder likely to be pushed down Geelong's pecking order.

Cooper Stephens, any good? I dont know anything about him.

Was pick 16 in 2019, the year before Oli.

188 cm, 21 years old, drafted from Colac (Vic)/Geelong U18

For the hundredth time, Geebung dont have a salary cap, at all, the cook the books down there, and you can bet some stars like Dangermouse have a nice little tidy second income somewhere, like Judd did with that visy mob, I reckon most of them do, to tide them over on so called lower contracts.

Do not trade Ollie.
I don't care what the deal is.
We need to show him we are being fair and reasonable. Cats are not coming to play fair. This is happening with all their deals. They are trying to achieve win/loss in their favour.
Send him to PSD or stay with us Ollie.
