I reckon hes bluffing, and whoever his Manager is, is feeding him dumb shitty advice.
Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Ploy to get Cats to up their offer. No use trying to threaten Collingwood - club has already stated it’s position. He has an offer and can accept it anytime he wants.
If he wants to leave cause he doesn’t think he’ll get a game and it might be a bit hard cracking into the team then he’s probably not made of the right stuff anyway.

So, a calculated move to force the trade. If we don't trade I can't see him eating humble pie and returning to us. He was no doubt advised by his manager, and likely Geelong, to pull this stunt. They know he's a bigger chance than not of getting to Geelong this way.Mr Miyagi wrote:Ollie told Fly he will not be coming back to Collingwood. Have fun at North Melbourne, you idiot.
I hope he doesn't break into their side until their stars have retired, and once that happens he can endure the rest of his career playing for a side that struggles to make finals.
I find your lack of faith disturbing

^Yes, I would like to see confirmed the veracity of this report.
I definitely believe that we should not cave in.
Picks 25 and 33, even together, are ridiculously inferior to his actual value - he was pick 18, and demonstrated an astonishing talent in his first year.
Stand firm Pies.
What are the risks?
Losing him for nothing is one, but we do still gain from that even so: we build a reputation for refusing to capitulate to blackmail and let talent that we fairly acquired be unfairly taken away.
What are the potential gains? Calling his bluff and signing him up for another 2 years.
Cost benefit equation? I think standing firm stacks up against capitulating

Tom Browne reported Ollie had a conversation with McRae and told him he won’t be back. Geelong trade or draft. Bridges burned. He could be bluffing so Collingwood decide 25 is better than nothing, but Wright was very straight batting today that they won’t accept it. But if it is a bluff, then doing it in a personal one on one with the coach is a disrespectful way to do it.Haff wrote:Any publications on him telling Fly he wouldn’t be back?

Agree. That was my first take reading it. Hope GC take him or WCE for that matter. Scumbag.Mr Miyagi wrote:Tom Browne reported Ollie had a conversation with McRae and told him he won’t be back.
