apparently thats for the high spec all wheel drive models, there are 5 models, i only wanted the 2nd level, which is usually around 6 months. the only thing they have in stock is a ...Yaris! ugh! all the dealers were the same, 9 months to 2 years, Mitsubishi - told us to buy the toyota!!, kia was 9 months, but yeah, the quality was horrible, ford dont have an hybrids, and hyundai only has huge cars! if i really thought it would be 2 years i would not have done it!! its only $1K deposit, and you dont have to wait, you can get a refund, and if the model/price changes you get the choice of a refund. Its the car I want, and im not willing to compromise with another brand/model, so yeah!stui magpie wrote:2 years wait? Serious?
No chance I'm doing that.

The Rav 4 Hybrid is very popular at work, we have a couple of them, one is 2 years old and the other less than 12 months.
But we got 3 new cars recently and all were Forester Hybrids, really not a fan of them and the boot space is completely inadequate for what we need them for!
I usually take the Ranger which is less than 12 months old as well but it's our only practical vehicle atm in flooded areas so it's hard to get.
We have the fully electric Hyundai Kona at work, that's definitely not too big? Not sure though what they've got in hybrid model though?

nope Kona doesnt come in a hybrid, mitsubishi have 10 year warranty, but they olny have plug in hybrids, and its more about getting out of trouble if you run out of fuel! or is it electricity? anyhow all the dealers agreed that toyota have the best hybrid system, except of course the kia guy!
we love our ranger, its i think 2016 or something, but its magnificent! bloody great cars
the foresters i think are a bit fugly!

I had a look at the Rav4 Hybrid online, looks like a good unit.
Self charging, great fuel economy and pickup, only about 30 miles range on battery only but it's not designed for that, looks like a good unit.

sooooo our floors are getting sanded back to bare wood and recoated so im at the beach house, on the way i dropped into blood toyota, and that blue....looks nothing like the picture! its almost dull purple! so i opted for silver!!the red and dark blue look like old people colours, (so the young sales guy said) i said im nearly 60, he goes yyou dont look it and those colours are too old for you. i like that man, and i still have a space for a son in law!! anyhow, i always liked that the ranger is silver not white as white cars look like fleet cars, plus his and juniors silver cars never look dirty!
so 4 or 5 days of peace and quiet, just me the dogs and if it stops fricken raining, John Deere!! junior is staying with her big sister, hubby is in the motor home! bliss bliss bliss, did i mention the bliss!!!!!

Being on your own, nothing like it.
When I'm up in Toc I have the radio on MMM in the kitchen all day. Can't hear it from the lounge room so when I go in to cook dinner, after one or 2 beverages, I'm rocking out and dancing round the kitchen while cooking.
With mum, I'm basically capped at 4 nights I can leave her on her own. If I want to go up longer than that, I need to take her with me and try very hard to not get irritated.

I don't need 4 days, people can irritate me in seconds, and I'm getting worse.
I'm going to either get a new front fence or research a ball killing robot, I'm sick to death of neighbours kids constantly in my front yard and garden retrieving balls.
There's a fkn park 20 metres away, go the **** in there and play.
