Nope! He only ended up playing 24 matches for Melbourne after being traded out.

Here's a clue: this doesn't necessarily have to be after they were rookie listed by us. ;)

Yep, Hudson it is! Played 161 games with Adelaide, the Western Bulldogs and Brisbane before ending his career on our rookie list (and playing a further 7 matches). Not Williams, though, who only played 60 games for North before being delisted.

That's the "trick question" part of the quiz out of the way, anyhow. Can anyone guess the final rookie-listed player to notch over 100 games at another club? Hint: like Podsiadly, he never played a senior game for us.

So if it's not Andrew Pugsley, it'll have to be Nathan Lovett-Murray.

I played in 2 Premierships and served with the RAAF in WW2.
When I announced my retirement, I joined the Salesian community at Sunbury, as a lay brother.

It sounds like Bruce Andrew - but I don’t know about the Salesian thing. He played in the 28 GF, missed 29 with injury and was BOG in 30. He played in the RAAF’s team a few times in the early/mid 40s.
