Notice how fox never put the free kick stats up ! That was some ordinary umpiring.
Because Hudson, Lewis and Rucciuto were too busy giving each other jobbies under the desk to worry about stats.

Oh my God!!!!

Seriously, my heart can't take much more of this.

I honestly don't know how we won a game where we were absolutely smashed in the air. I thought our only hope was our ground ball game, but even then, I expected us to run out of legs in the last quarter.

It demonstrates the power of belief. Hats off to our master coach and these heroic players.

When we lost Cameron, Cox, and then McStay, I hoped we could win 50% of our games until we got some rucks back. Boy oh boy, how good are we going to be with Cameron, Cox, Lipinski and Pendles in the side.

Watched it at the Downunder Bar in Chiang Mai. A few nice Magpie supporters there, watching quietly, and one loud Crow who kept yelling SOFT when Pies were given a free, and when we should have got one eg Murphy forearm across the face and Ash Johnson over the shoulder in the goal square. He stormed out straight after the game. We Pies did quiet high 5s. One neutral bloke said he really wanted umpires to pay a dodgy free to Pies in goal square to watch the Crow’s reaction. Happy days.

Yeah, they talk about the talent pool not being big enough for 18-19 teams but the bigger shortage of talent is the responsibility of the umpiring dept at AFL.

Pielitide just love your Mariana Trench line. I am very, very mellow, and don’t think I have been more livid in my life. These muppets make the umpires in the 2018 GF look like Collingwood coterie members. Degoey deliberate no.1, Murp? For f… sake, Degoey deliberate no.2, Johnson - Blind Freddy paid that one. Cheating bastards. But you cannot stop sheet belief and will to win. I was saying to my son, Jack Nicholas and Tigger Woods always had an advantage because other players were looking out for them. That’s us now. I love this team. How much joy tonight. To the recruitment staff - thank you for Billy F, and for Tom M, and for Oleg

Absolutely ridiculous how this team can find a way to win.

There was a lot that didn’t go right today and a few players out of form. I think our depth was severely tested today as was our backing up from the 5 day break.

We can thank Adelaide for missing so many easy shots throughout the game but we just hung in there.

Loved the passion from Fly when we got within 2 points in the last.

Despite all those injuries we have won the last 3 games. Just amazing!

I won’t be visiting the game thread - I’m sure it will be a reflection of my own opinions sitting on the couch.

Grateful for the win, but I think it was a robbery. Umpiring aside (the non fee kicks to Murphy and Johnson were abominable), they should have had us baked stone cold by half time. But they didn’t so sucked in. And if any of you have Crows mates who want to bitch about the umps tell ‘em they’re dreaming.

Couple other observations:

- I reckon Murphy was knocked out. That random arm in the air concerns me. He was otherwise very, very good again today.
- we still look like a drunk blind man fumbling to find the front door lock with his keys when we go inside 50.
- Kreuger needs a month in the twos when fit. Something to expunge the run of bad luck he has. At some point the work has to turn right? We can’t keep picking him if he can’t play a whole game (I know they probably picked him unconditioned because of our other injuries).
- thank heavens for Checkers. Sometimes I am very critical of him, but he was our only source to goal for most of the game.
- Daicos will enjoy the lack of hype this week I hope. He was ok, but he’s not going to get 3 votes every week.
- Darcy Moore was great.
- if we’re gonna play like that, I don’t think we can have Ginni, Hill and Elliott in the team. I understand we need someone knocking down the door to replace them, but if we’re not getting/keeping it forward they are all catching a cold. Ginnivan doesn’t offer much outside the 50m arc. I’d be inclined to add Carmichael who can also kick goals but can play on the ball too. Not sure who comes out. Someone will have to make room for Pendles too I suppose.
- still not sure how we snatched the points
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...
