Can't see a reason for naming Coxy and then not playing him. Assuming he's in the 22, with Crisp, Ginni and Hill, that leaves Macrae, Harrison, Markov and Kelly to miss out. One of those to be named as sub.

Markov may get the nod, ahead of Hill.
I agree with you, I think it makes sense.
Crisp is a given for the half back line. Hill/Ginni are now a package that goes with Cox.
However, if Cox does not play, we could do with another tall like Kelly or extra pace of Markov down back.

I think likely is that Cox will play so that Frampton can spend more time KPB against Franklin & Co.

I think we are going to come out for this game as enraged titans. I feel sorry for Papley. I think he is a prime target for the wrath of Bruzza. Bruzza never forgets smartarses who think they can get away with mocking the Pies. Langdon found that out last year. Bruzza won't let Papley get away with that pathetic photo in the media of him with sunglasses smirking about the blatant push in the back he got away with in the PF, which won the game for the Swans. I am looking forward to watcing the denouement.

Many yrs ago, out at dear old Victoria park, young lad, we booted 30 goals to 7 against the Bombers, now that was a very relaxing and stress free day at the footy, still one of my all time VP memories. :D

Can't wait to see Coxy back in action, though we need to be patient. He's defo got more gears in him once he settles back in given his trajectory.

Don't feel sorry for Papley - the crowd won't - they will be giving him heaps too, I suspect. Make it as uncomfortable for him as possible.

Are we starting with Maynard on Franklin again, since it worked so well in the 2022PF?

Small forwards need to be hitting the scoreboard.
Suspect 3 games within 17 days will take its toll on Elliott, and a rest is required.
That said, I'd love to be proven wrong.
...
Hill has missed some easy chances.

Former pres Eddie said the AFL missed a golden opportunity to play this match in Sydney, with the NRL not in town this weekend.
