Steele in his interviews this week, "I've never had a serious injury, touch wood." You just knew.
Steele injured medium term and a percentage booster game sh!t up a wall because of laziness and hubris. Yes, a win’s a win, but that final quarter ‘effort’ ain’t scaring anyone. The last two weeks’ last quarters are an abomination. Not sure if by design to maintain energy and aid recovery, but it looks like sh!t.
The only team to crack the ton this round so that’s something, I guess.

Congratulations to Steele and Mason.
Match wise we more or less went through the motions, good to eat.out on top. Adelaide might help us a bit too.
Regroup, hit the training track and see who the selection committee decide to take over to Perth.

Well done Pies.
Biggest score of the round. Neutralised a team that nearly beat us last year.
4 points in the bag.
Hopefully Sidey can have 3-4 weeks rest and come back after the bye.

The day went sour when Sidey was subbed out. The atmosphere never got any better than that. We are a frustrating side. Not happy with the stoppage work today. Beaten in too many. And our forward entries were generally poor. Checkers looked like the only forward to threaten. Bobby Hill did well all over the ground today. Filled in where Steele left off. Darcy Moore 100% efficiency.
That last quarter was unforgiveable (our second in as many weeks) but hopefully the boys will cash in next week against the Wet Toast.

Was hoping (just hoping) for a big win.
I knew inside me that we would not deliver this desire, that the game would not be in doubt but that we would let them off the hook. And, this is what happened.
We were 53 pts up at one stage but didn't go on with it. The selfish supporter in me wanted an 80+ point win so it was disappointing to see us cruise in by 35 points.
Again, i just want to see the team sniff blood and go in for the kill when the opportunity presents. The Cats last year would have won that game by 80+ going away. We did it to Port & GWS only so far but missed this chance. I don't know why we let it slip. Was North really that good? Maybe they deserve more credit.
I don't feel like we are there yet in terms of delivering in a GF. I should feel convinced but I'm not. I guess I'm waiting to see that ruthless football come out to play more often than not.
