At least with Nick it's good news that it's a break and not anything to do with his medial ligament. But six weeks and Murph gone for the season. Sorry guys, but 2023 is over!

WE are NOT cooked, thats just ludicrous, we had a real bad day at the Office, hey it happens, to all teams, now an then. We have top two sown up, so thats just silly, Port lost too, so we cannot drop from top two. Losing the home final is nuts too. jeezus, we had one really lousy game, time to harden up, get behind the team , yeh, make a few changes next week, re fresh the side and come out breathing fire. ! I have faith in our Coach to get this team back on track. We had so many players down in that match, that wont happen again, rest asssured of that. Support the team thru bad times and the good times, next week will be totaly different match.

While we're not here to cheer the opposition, players and supporters need to switch on to what's in front of them. The Hawks were good and made us 2nd guess. Their defensive game was as good as I've seen this year.
Then you get their stars Sicily and Breust playing blinders. Our stars played blunders.

I agree that's an excellent point Laurie. Sometimes we are just beaten by a better team.

Reality check everyone.

We are a top side. We aren't 2 games plus percentage clear on top of the ladder for no reason. Sure, we've played a few shite games in the 2nd half of the season, but Premierships are won in September not July or August.

What seems clear to me, is that Mitchell is shot, Johnson is not hard enough, and Lipinski is a tad soft. Now, if the reports are true, we will also be missing Murphy. So we need to replace these with 4 players imo.

Cox to replace Johnson. At least he has a record as a big game player.

Carmichael to replace Mitchell.

WHE to replace Lipinski.

Frampton to replace Murphy.

Then the club psychologists have to get to work, to get our players delivering that manic heavy metal type football which got us to the top of the ladder.

Do that, and the Cats won't know what's hit them.

I'm confident, we'll settle the ship and hit the finals in great shape.

“Both players underwent scans after our game last night which confirmed Nathan suffered a low-grade syndesmosis injury in his right ankle and is expected to miss the next two to three weeks, while Nick has a hairline fracture in the lateral tibial plateau of the right knee joint.



“Nick has been seen by a specialist knee surgeon this morning and, while fortunately this does not require an operation, it will need time to heal before he returns to football. At this stage, the expected timeframe for Nick is six weeks.
