Elevated to senior list are Markov and Johnson

Here’s a question. If fit would there have been a spot for Ash in the GF

Maybe! It may have a choice between Ash and Ginny
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

I think he definitely would have taken McStay's place, not quite like for like but as close as you could get with what we had left. McInnes was the other one really pushing towards the end of the home and away but copped that injury, he's walking into the team next year by the way, he can kick a handful and just looked a level above in the VFL, he was doing the Johnno Brown strut there a couple of times in the magoos and I thought to myself he knows he's ready now. But even if Reef was available I think they would have went with Ash for that extra experience and closer fit. Ginny most likely would have made way and probably only got the gig in the end because we were worried about scoring enough against the Lions, the only team we couldn't keep below an average of 90 points, we went into that GF letting them average 110 points against us so I think that swayed the coaching staff to go with the natural goal kicker.

A good summation there Koc.

I agree with you about Reef and I am hoping like hell that Ash puts in a massive pre-season and fulfils his enormous potential next year. He could be an absolute star of the game....if he is motivated enough to get super fit.

Not highlights, exactly, but there’s some footage from the 1953 grand final here: https://youtu.be/I6F5PP2kIWk?feature=shared

I assume you’ve seen this footage from 1958 before: https://youtu.be/TZiPwgpKKsM?feature=shared
