Congratulations to the AFL and to Melbourne.
$1Mil for both mens and womens teams going out in straight sets.
Never seen a more undeserving reward in my life.
Is it already time to rethink the McClelland Trophy?

This McClelland trophy should only be awarded to the team that ends up 1 on the ladder after the afl home and away season and keep it as a minor premiership award.
And i would not add that extra 1 million $ either.
keep it just the afl minor premier.
As of yet we are yet to see such a thing a minor premier award.

We've won 20 minor premierships. Carlton and Essendon have won 17.
From 1951 to 2022, the McClelland Trophy was awarded to the best-performing club in the home-and-away season. Until 1990, the Trophy was presented to the club with the highest aggregate points across the three grades of competition that were sanctioned by the VFL/AFL - seniors, Reserves, and Under-19s. Between 1991 and 2022 it was simply was awarded to the minor premiers.
We've won it 8 times. Geelong have the most with 11.
I've had different reactions to this, with the most common one being along the lines of who gives an f about the McClelland trophy?!.
Yes, we have the only trophy that counts. But I just think its wrong to label a club that lost 4 finals and won zero the best performing club. They dont deserve the reward or that title, not at all.

Our AFLW team has not performed.
Is it worthy anything?Presti35 wrote:Will you settle for a 1980's footy card featuring Mil Hanna?
I think I have some 80s footy cards. In good condition. Not mint, but good.
