Clayton Oliver

Post by qldmagpie67 »

The same guy who gave me the mail on the May dust up a couple years ago has told me Oliver is completely on the nose at the Dee’s to the point several high profile team mates have spoken to the club about there distrust in him
The living with Gawn hasn’t worked and his behaviour has spiralled downwards again
Melbourne are demanding he seek personal help away from the club and have told his management if he hasn’t commenced this by the time training recommences after Xmas he won’t be welcome back
Rumour has it he is against getting any help and feels the clubs is trying to push him out to free up salary cap space
Melbourne are truly at there wits end with him and would likely be open to trading him out and taking a massive salary cap hit to see the back of him

Watch this space for him to miss the opening several weeks if not a large chunk of the season

There's been a lot of rumours about Oliver's off-field problems.

Don't know precise details, but it sounds like more trouble is brewing with him and Melbourne.

Melbourne might have been better off to trade him to Adelaide when they had the chance.

If half the things I’m hearing are even close to true he’s in a world of trouble
I don’t understand why the players association hasn’t stepped in and tried to assist him more they havent even offered any public support for him
His off field antics are a secret around Melbourne so surely others players and clubs know what’s going on
Watch for big brother (AFL) to step in I reckon

Training due to restart and he wants more extended leave
Word on the street is he hasn’t sought any form of help as requested by the club and flatly refuses to
The AFLPA will soon be involved in this issue
Wait for Oliver to come out and start throwing dirt on the coach, club and team mates in order to deflect the spotlight from his own issues
The old phrase top of the iceberg fits well here

Why did that trade fall through?

I'd say the Crows are happy it did.
