I like your team LH
B: Howe Dean Maynard
HB: IQ Moore Naicos
C: Lipinski JDG Jaicos
Foll: Cameron Macrae Pendlebury
HF: McCreery Mihocek Schultz
F: Hill Frampton Elliott
Int: WHE, Crisp, Sidebottom, McInnes, Noble (SUB)
EMG: Markov Cox Harrison
Has a bit of freshness about it, without going overboard.
It's a wakeup call for the emergencies losing their spot.
McInnes to come on when Frampton shares the ruck.
Frampton will compete and get the ball to ground.
We have very talented crumbers in the forward line so this is a better setup.
Jaicos to get his confidence back this week
Let Dean get some game time, Murphy is not guaranteed to return.
Let's hope this is the pivot game when everyone switched on as we know they can...

There's been talk that we have had too many changes coming into the new season. Meaning admin roles playing musical chairs. Wonder how significant this is.

At the end of the day, we sure do miss Mcstay and Murphy, bigtime, now more than ever.

We won without both of them last year, so it's more than just personnel. It's the mindset.

If we don't get the transition right from HB through the Centre, we can forget about feeding our forward line.
Everyone in that mix can use the ball well and break lines, also why Noble should be the sub.
If Maynard is to kick, he needs to lower his eyes, not simply bomb it long.
Give Howe and Naicos the kick in duties.

I think Mihocek is well and truely over due to kick a bag of goals.
He is in desperate need for goals.
We need to bring back that hunger for goals as well.
A few changes to the stating line up nd have McCrae on the wing and crsip in for mccreery. Also a potential for Frampton on the half forward area.

It would be great to see Macrae start on the field. I reckon starting in the middle would be good for him and the team.

I had WHE as either an out or relegated to the sub role. The other two ins and outs appeared obvious.

Whether or not he only misses 1 week is yet to be seen but I feel when you're position in the side is that of the 7th ranked defender, forward or midfielder you're always going to be in some danger of being omitted when your team is losing.

The strength of WHE is his ability to be a role player in numerous positions but that feels like a luxury right now and we've opted for another specialist inside midfielder instead.

I do like the concept of "managing" one of our veterans out on a rotating basis.
He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!

Disappointed and, honestly, bewildered that Noble still can’t get a crack. Otherwise some reasonably expected changes (Frampton for Dean, McInnes for Johnson). Mitchell back in for Hoskin-Elliott makes sense too. Interesting to see Harrison in the emergencies.

I hope people aren’t expecting too much from McInnes right away. He’s shown less than Johnson at AFL level so far, and he has a new role to settle in to. In some ways it’s frustrating because it feels like we need a quick fix right now, not another long-term project. But seeing as how the first isn’t available, we’ll just have to accept the second and be patient, despite the inevitable posts calling for Reef’s omission if he doesn’t set the world on fire in his first couple of games back.

The flying moustache needs to turn it around as he’s been awful for 240minutes and Noble not so bad for less than 30mins

It will come down to us dealing with the same high press that GWS and Sydney used against us to force turnovers due to players being where we normally have space. That's if St Kilda can do it. At least these things have been rolled out early in 2024 so we can adjust. It's ironic that it was our high press that teams struggled with last year.
Get back on top.

At last selection a bit better this week, hopefully we have enough run. We need more out of Q and Moore has got to be a shit load better and be more like a Nick Maxwell , Tony Shaw Captain and be more aggro. Reef and Big Billy Bones need to impact on the scoreboard.
