Schultz will be fine. He has done some good things to be far. Still working out our system. Seems to not be 100% running the right lines yet. Plus the rest of the side has been a rabble, hard for him to be effective…

Bad times ahead,I’m afraid.Too many old players, and too many players who look content with just one premiership. This is definitely a premiership hangover, even of the club fervently denies it.
Thank God we won it last year.Premierships don’t come around very often for Collingwood,so it’s just as well we took our chance last year.It could be quite a while before we win another one.

Well a positive is that Darcy Cameron played another fantastic game and would be a clear Copeland trophy leader at the moment.
Also Frampton was very good and provide more of a contest throughout the game.
The game was over once McCrae was named as sub. Not saying that he would’ve been the difference but it displayed the mindset and direction of the coaching staff which imho said in bold letters “SAME AS 2023”.

We’ll likely be 0-4 before we’re even in April. Preposterous fixturing and preposterous to have the reigning premiers off the shortest break in living memory play 4 games before anyone else, two of them on the road, and 4 games inside 20 days to start a season. F off. Contrived bullshit from AFL house as usual. Enjoy your shit crowds the rest of the way, AFL.

Haff’s Glass half empty Player review:
Failed badly, atrocious:
Moore (can’t give up 3 goals as captain too silly mistakes, he is not a gifted footballer IMO, good mark, can take the game on, that’s about it)
JDG (shadow of his best)
Markov (zero impact, I don’t understand his role after he was so good at breaking lines last season, now a kick behind nothing defender)
Crisp (fumble fumble fumble)
Mitchell (time has come for mine).
Didn’t win, their position, need to lift:
Sidey (looks a kick behind)
Howe (see Mitchell)
IQ (Complete lack of confidence)
Naicos (Had the fumbles and didn’t have a crack tonight, allowed one bad game but the haters will be coming for him after his missed tackles)
Schultz (not there yet, he’ll be ok, showed glimpses but doesn’t seem to know our system)
Cox (good second half, shit first)
Checkers (not impacting enough)
McReery (not impacting enough)
Hill (see above 2)
Pass mark:
Cameron (leading our B&F)
Jaicos
Lippa
Pendles
Elliott (shaky though)
McInnes (can’t ask for much more from his first game but he is not the answer, I don’t think we have one though so he did well enough)
Maynard
Frampton (did some good things)
N/A
McRae (get this kid in the side!!)
