Good start to a new team but Pies lost a close one.
Southern Saints 4.1.25 defeated Pies 2.5.17
Goals: Granville, Degiacomi
Top disposals: Remmos 23, Ingram 17, Watts & Walsh 15 each
AF points: Remmos 99, Pearce 86, Ingram 82
Pies had almost double the Saints inside 50s but could not capitilise.
Whch can be typical of the female game where the ball rebounds straight back out of the forward line or is locked up in ball ups.
Not a too bad first game, plenty to work on especially if they want to challenge the better teams.

Half time in the game against Port Melb.
Port 5.5.35 lead Pies 1.2.8
Single goal to Maya Ellin.
Getting beaten in most of the stats apart from hitouts.
Was always going to be a struggle against Port Melb.
Hopefully the Pies can get some more positive inside 50 play in the 2nd half.

Tough game against Port Melbourne.
Port Melb 9.7.61 defeated Pies 3.3.21
Goals: Ellin, Cronin, Campbell
Top disposals: Ingram 25, Lennox 20, Remmos 19
AF points: Remmos & Ingram 81 each
Once again, the Pies won the hitouts and clearances but Port had double the inside 50s. Port also had way more tackles, hence more free kicks.

Been there, done that.
But back to the footy......
Box Hill 5.7.37 defeated Pies 0.3.3
Top disposals: Ingram & Cronin 19, Walsh & Jarvis 18
AF Points: Cronin 87, Anthony 75, Ingram 72
TBH, I was expecting a bigger loss based on the first two rounds from the respective teams. Still struggling to capitilise on winning the clearances and getting good inside 50 entries. And being outmarked in most games.

4 Lucy Cronin (COL)
2 Gabby Collingwood (BHH)
1 Jaide Anthony (COL)
1 Ainslie Kemp (BHH)

Do we think after this season we might think about withdrawing from the vflw just for 1 year and kind of gain a potential merge with say a regional club.
I know the east bendigo magpies has a womens team and they are very good and we can merge with them and play half at AIA and east bendgo.
Kind of be the country team.
For sure aflw keeps going but i think the vflw needs to be restructured and maybe look for a merge.

Does anyone know how or if the VFLW you have to buy a ticket before the match or can i buy a ticket at the game.
How much is the tickets if i need one.
And do we think there will be any food and drink outlets there at Vic Park.
As far as i know there isnt at vflw as there is at aflw but it changes from venue to venue as i have been at a few of vflws at port melbourne and casey and there were some there.
I feel Vic park its water taps only as a way to refill your water bottles and thats it.
