Hmm... Tempted to have a nibble on Haw. Mebbe at the line... Yeah, Geebung beat up Ess... But they have a huge record against Ess.K (Jun 11) wrote:...
Yeah... If Hawthorn played Geebung at the G right now, dunno I'd back Geebung... But David has Geebung at 5 and Hawthorn 13.
....
Geebung 1.56
Haw 2.44
Line: 10.5
Sheesh... I assume you see the actual ladder some time after each round... Then you'd need to have amnesia not to have some idea where teams are. One dude on here has amnesia, but I assume you don't.David wrote:...

Sure, maybe sometimes? But usually not until after I’ve already done this for the week. I certainly have some idea of the actual standings, but I try not to let it bias my rankings either way.K wrote: Sheesh... I assume you see the actual ladder some time after each round... We should be lower.

Measuring whole-of-season form, I think they've been the most uncompetitive team generally, a promising last few weeks notwithstanding. The gap between the bottom three has definitely closed now with the Eagles falling off though.

There’s no crow like an early crow David. But yes, I maintain my opinion of 6 weeks that the Hawks should be higher.David wrote:Round 17

Re: Form ladder 2024
Ok I'll finally get into this with my own view.
Collingwoods season is over, as much as I hate to say it, we're done. There will be no finals this season.
1 - Brisbane - They've lost once in their last 10 outings (a 25 point loss to the hawks in May at Marvel). Their hunger must be insatiable.
2 - Sydney - Just dropped off a little, maybe losses they 'Needed' to have? A very talented unit.
3 - Hawthorn - People will say they've had an easy draw. Won 8 of their last 10 including wins over; Dogs, Lions, Giants & Power. David, to have them 13th illustrates just how wrong your heading of "form'' ladder is... ridiculous.
4 - Freo - The most unpredictable of my top 4, you never know what freo will turn up. Their best can beat anyone.
5 - Dogs - Like freo, can play some rippers and then look like a rabble. Won't go far in finals, if they make it.
6 - Giants - Starting to approach their best. My prediction to continue the rise and take the cup.
7 - Cats - Are they ever not in the mix, even just a little?
8- Blues - A wishy washy wagk fest. Promise a lot, haven't delivered for decades.
9 - Essendon - Can cause problems if they all fire, lacking a few key dominators.
10 - Suns - If they didn't have to leave home they'd be invincible. Will be a force within the next 3-5 years.
11 - Power - average bunch.
12 - Pies - have shown little, sure there's a heap of injuries but so many out of form and looking disinterested.
You can put the remainder in any order, they're all crap.
