Those flogs won ‘cause everyone in the 8 had a rest the week before finals, they got their players back & they fluked it.

Fk’ers.

Fly said checkers needs surgery and it’s season done
Scans tomorrow to confirm it
What else can go wrong
Carmichael see Murphy concussion
The thing is that we will never hear the end of it from flog opposition supporters either and they are all coming out of the woodwork too

When you say that we will back bigger and stronger, you do realise that we have very poor draft picks this year.
Unlike some I actually don’t rate Hine very highly when it comes to picking quality in the national draft. His ability to identify and draft quality KPF has been very poor. Don’t forget that the last key forward of any quality that he drafted in the national draft was Chris Dawes.

[quote="23 YIPPEE!!!"]For sure we won the flag 23 cool
But then comes the impeding doom
Kind of the catalyst of our demise either way
2010 then the 2012-2017
2018 lose another 5 for another crack
2024 kind of sounds familiar
1990 perfect example
Good times like a flag are few and far between
Loss tonight just reaffirms the situation
It’s brings it all back
Regardless of who’s coaching us
We just don’t have the cattle
To be honest sick to death of hearing nick daicos this and nick that
That’s only 1 player
Pendlebury 2012-2022 about it 1 player to carry the club for 10 years[/quote

Boy, your a rea barrel of laughs. Howd you like to be a Saints fan, one flag since 1874, one, last one 1966, a lifetime ago, or the dogs, 2 flags, Dees, one flag since 1964, Suns none, Freo none, Port none, imagine how their fan s cope. ?? Mass injuries have cruelled our season, no Noble, McCreery, tonight, now Checker gone for season. ONLY Richmond has more injuries than us, this season. ] :o

At this stage, it doesnt look like destiny will favour us so well.
W Bulldogs won the 2016 flag from outside the Top 4 due to multiple umpire interventions at the expense of GWS and Swans in finals. Not that I cared.

They also plummeted to 10th place in 2017 [W11/L11], missing the finals due to a season long run of injuries.
They played off again in 2021, but Melbourne of course had them covered.

Richmond, 3 flags in 4 seasons culminating in 2020, then down to 12th in 2021.
[W9/d1/L12] Injuries finally got them too. Currently rebuilding very slowly.

and Geelong, 2022 "fake premiers", also fell to 12th spot in 2023, because, well, no more Selwood basically.
Again, not that we cared; in fact, I cackled with unbridled glee. Hoping they remain there and rot further.

Sadly, it looks like we are going down that road of the reigning premier hitting a motivational wall, and decimated by injuries. An ugly combination indeed.

If the above observations form a disturbing pattern, then we shouldn't be surprised if that swallows us for 2024 as well. The Honeymoon is OVER baby.

Hine is a fraud and I’ve wanted him gone for the better part of a decade.

Selecting Fin McCrae over Holmes is the final straw as far as I’m concerned.

Piss him off NOW.

See if it was the banjo-twanging hillbilly f@cktard animal scumbag ruckman of the Druggies that caused the injury?
The same one that busted Grundy's knee on Anzac Day 2022, ending his career with us?

What I’d give for Grundy right about now…

Also Ginnivan, the rot started when he left.

Seconded; all we have left from 2020 shitshow draft is an under performing McCreery, who could barely get a kick this season.
All other 2020 picks more failures and busts.

This is all we have left from arseholing Treloar, Stevo and Phillips out of the cap prior to 2020 ND

We need Grundy to stop Carlton storming to a 17th flag; we'll have to get on the pink ducks wagon now.

Happened in the last 3 minutes at a stoppage Essendon thug jabbed his elbow in Cameron’s ribs played on which made it worse
Possible season over
As with Hind I have wanted to get rid of this fraud since 2012
But still keeping his job
Last real good recruiter we had was noel judkins
Hind was part also for the 2010 premiership team clean out in 2013
That’s enough said

C'mon, people. Footy is a game played over our lifetimes, and we all know many periods have been far, far worse and far, far less promising, lacking even in a brilliant season and grand final win. The organisation and culture is in a much better state than in memory to manage a challenging phase like this without throwing the toys out of the cot each and every loss.

Plenty of sides need to reload after a granny win, depending on the state of the list at the time. We've just done it once and soon enough we'll do it again. Have a little faith in what you've seen happen in recent times, and the number of players we're developing and blooding in the light of a shocking injury run.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.
