1. Ken Hinkley. Might not make it to July. Unfortunately for Port, the three kingpins of the club would all have to go for Ken to be sacked.
...
Constant calls for sacking. Boos from own supporters...

But he could end up this year's premiership coach!

Port aren't faves, but the field is wide open. (Means there's no really good side in 2024.)

The butchers at Port will be sharpening their knives tonight. Trailing 15 goals to 6 in a home QF, having kicked just one of the last 12 goals in the game. It doesn't get much chokier than this.

Yup, go down without a whimper again next week, which is what we suspect will happen, and the vultures in media will be circling Kenny like the parasitic filth they are.

Barrett:

https://www.afl.com.au/news/1217492/bar ... atter-more

"There is a trusted mantra in football that if you've got a good coach, it is risky to seek change. But the Giants and Pies proved that it is possible that good coaches can be instantly replaced with more, or at least equally, impactful ones. Change at those clubs is already proven to have been positive.

As the 2024 season winds down to its final five matches, many clubs, including one remaining in this year's finals, have pressing decisions to make on coaches."

Niall:

'Port Adelaide president David Koch has confirmed that Ken Hinkley will coach the Power in 2024 as contracted...

Asked if Hinkley’s position for next year was locked in, the Port president told this masthead: “Absolutely it is. It’s always been sorted. He’s our contracted coach for next year.”

Pressed on whether Hinkley would coach Port next year, Koch said: “Yep.”
...

Koch’s commitment to Hinkley appears to end any prospect of him crossing to West Coast.'

There'll be a few coaches on the hot seat in 2025.
Voss isn't safe.
Nix will be gone if he can't get Adelaide into the finals.
Yze has NFI
Goodwin should be gone from the Dees.
Clarkson is a dinosaur. Unless North get better quickly he won't coach again.
Longmuir better get Freo to the finals or he'll be gone.
Who knows about Essendon and Brad Scott.

Everyone else is safe.

Port are better off with a new coach, so are Adelaide, Essendon, Melbourne, and maybe Bulldogs too.

Maybe Port should see if Voss wants to come back? WCE may go for Hinkley, and Carlton may want to start again.

Maybe, but Essendon are still better off without him.

Time for Longmire to **** off. He’s ruined the showcase game 2 years out of 3 and lost all of his last 4 attempts.

You wonder what the tipping point will be here. Surely, something has to give?
He again watched on today in utter emotionless bewilderment, or at least every time the broadcast cut to the coaches box....

You'd have to add him to the watch-list, if nothing else...

100% correct. Karma for attacking our Fly. Potato head is the worst gf coach in history despite unbelievable advantages with the academy and their home ground. Really this whole bloods consistency rubbish is nothing more than an average club who has an unfair advantage.

Perhaps it's a little early - but how long do we think it will be before McQualter is under pressure? I'm inclined to put him on sacking watch ab initio. https://www.afl.com.au/news/1235630/wes ... rows-again

How's this for a couple of developments. Horse to North. Clarko to Sydney. Goodwin to Crows. Hinkley to Dees. Carr to take over at Port. Nicks sacked.

That or Hinkley to Crows would be good. :D

How long will Fagan remain coach?
