After all this I'm pretty certain that he'll be packing his bags for an interstate team, maybe Swans or GC. Hopefully a bit of separation will be what he needs to really focus on his footy and make the most of his life's opportunities.

^couldn't imagine the Swans culture allows him through the door. If is family was relocatable, maybe the GCS, but I can't imagine how difficult that would be in such a short space of time. Stringer would be fine living away from the missus for 6 months though?... Dimma would appear the type of coach that might be able to manage him if he was to get him out of the Melbourne football bubble.

In light of the latest news with Hind and Stringer, it should be a big pass on Stringer.

Thankfully it sounds like we've cooled our interest anyway.

Or recruit both Hind and Stringer!!!

Outside pace off half back and a proven goal kicker...

Imagine the media pile-on if the Pies got either or both of these guys???

I imagine that the Magpies will not pursue Stringer (or Hind) now.

It could prove a sliding-doors moment for us- we may have avoided a cataclysm- we may cost ourselves a 17th flag.... I guess we can make that call in 12 months (when Stringer will be out of contract).
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

I doubt those two are the difference in Collingwood winning/not winning a flag next year.
But getting hind for nothing is worth a punt.
Just remember, no news is good news.

Per the age. I think we can put this to bed.
Collingwood kicked the tyres on Stringer, but eventually decided he was not the player for them

I wonder who decided to release the "associates" story after interest cooled and then picked up again?

Maybe not very fair on Stringer, but thank you on behalf of the Pies.

I think we can all agree that he is a very talented player. And that teaming him up with JDG would be something to see. But I feel the off-field issues have come back to stop this from happening, along with question marks over his commitment and fitness. The supporters were very much divided on this issue too.

I would have been very interested to see how this would have panned out, but we'll have to see what happens whilst he plays elsewhere.

id say stevo was far more talented, as is Jack, but its frucking useless having talent if you dont apply your self. hes 30, hes playing out his career. not sure why anyone thinks he will suddenly up his workrate. Ask any bummer supporter, they are wishing we take him.

Jake stringer has come out and said if he leaves Essendon there’s only one club he wants to go too
He doesn’t want to move family interstate

Collingwood is his preffered destination
It’s up to Collingwood and the board do they take the chance
End of the day he would be there to play footy and kick goals

Limit who he has in the rooms
We all have friends that ain’t perfect we all ain’t angels
THEY JUST HATE US
COS THEY AINT US
