We have enough talls. Next year we will ahve Rocca, Tarrant, Cam Cloke, Fraser and Davidson (fingers crossed) as tall forward options and that's before we start trialing Travis Cloke and Morrison. We also need to pump games into Crow, Hall and maybe Walker. We don't need the slow and injury prone Whitnall on our list. If he came dirt cheap I guess we'd have nothing to lose. For what he'd cost I much rather work on getting someone like Brent Harvey. Lets spend our pennies on the players we need not the ones we don't need.

If Thompson heads home to Perth then he is a bit lost as he is from Adelaide.
Rodan we should be able to get cheaply for someone like a Rhyce Shaw. Rodan is ok but nothing special imo.
Cameron Bruce is a gun imo as he is a very adaptable player and can kick goals. Not sure Melbourne would accept a second round pick and McGough for him. They would probably want a bit more.
As for Whitnall it would be a huge risk. I would only get him if we were considering playing him at CHB. One of his strengths is his brain so he should be able to read the play and would bolster the backline. However Buttifiant (however you spell it) would need to whip him into shape. A pretty big risk to take and for the money he is on probably not worth it.

The Torres bounce is officially dead. You are walking alone now Fernando.

I wouldn't go for that trade, we would be losing a player with a long career for a guy that is almost gone.3rd degree wrote:If Carlscum are keen this could very well happen !
