Gulls practice matches.
checked the website but not much there.
Anyone know of any practice matches coming up that we know of for Williamstown?
And obviously if so, where are they to take place.

Got this from Shane on EBW: http://www.voy.com/51976/3024.html
Willi Praccy match - I'm excited!!!
Why you ask, 5, or was it 6, goals for Billy Morrison, Freddy Fanning doing really well in the ruck against Stafford, Zane looking the goods in the midfield, and an amazing 50 metre bomb, on the boundary, against the wind, by Chris Egan.

It will be a lonely trip for the pair of them if the rest of the boys are going to Darwin to play against West Coast!Johnson#26 wrote:As for Egan, play hima nd Fanning against East Coast. We have to. They are both hot right now, and Egan in particular would rise to the occasion.

Apparently Mick was at the game and then post Pies game in an interview gushed about our new boys and said Egan could get picked for Darwin on that game alone.
Meanwhile, on EBW, more from Shane:
Egan's disposal was actually pretty sloppy at times, but he often took the ball and ran/loped along, backing himself and taking a couple of bounces. Looks the goods. Harry O'Brien is a similar sort of player. Billy was terrific, leading very well, taking at least 9 marks. Trav Cloke kicked a terrific snap goal, and presented well up forward. He's a big boy already. Maxwell was very good, pleasing MM with a couple of good hard hits. Fanning more than held his own against Stafford. Looks like he could play senior footy now if we lost a ruckman. Great to see MM in the huddle letting Gotchy do his own thing but having quiet words to individual players. Spoke to Balmy and he said Rusling and Yakka were a week or 2 away, just niggles. Blake is aiming at a run just before round 1. Bucks was running laps before the game and looked fine. Almost forgot about Hall. He took a terrific contested mark, but then sprayed his kick. Let a few through his fingers. Has a great build but still a long long way to go. Played Full Forward and second Ruck. Tries really hard but really lacks polish. Balmy still reckons he'll be ok though. Fire away with any questions if you like.
And this from Howie:
Still on 3AW, Mick's pre-match interview was brilliantly positive.
I'm not saying that blindly - obviously at this time of the year he is going to be positive - but you could tell in his responses that he was supremely excited about the upcoming season.
Didn't take direct qoutes but there were some telling statements.
Noted that of last year's 10 debutants there was the feeling that four wouldn't be 50-game players and they were obviously released. He felt the remaining six would force the senior group to earn their spots.
He was genuinely excited about the likes of Fanning and Leonard as well as Egan, who he wouldn't be surprised if they force their way into seniors this season.
Later in the interview, he said Egan was brilliant today for Williamstown (anyone catch that) and is almost a certainty to earn a spot in next week's Wizzer game (should we qualify) on that performance alone.
Basically, his entire interview reflected the positivety that some on this site have (in my opinion rightly) gushed over our 2004 draft picks and emerging youngins - it's hard not to be pumped.
He noted Buckley who he said is irreplacable and would be nursed. Notably, he said the same thing (irreplacable) was said about Tony Show, but then Buckley came along and now Brayden Shaw is starting to emerge. Interestingly promising that he noted the latter.

Sorry Foxychick, that's all I got for now. Given all of the positive reports, I would be surprised if we didn't romp it in.
Tiges had a lot of young guns playng in the one's and we had a bit of experience playing down at Willy (J. Cloke, Swan, Maxwell) and plenty of guys that are coming off an early start and a full pre-season. Seems a lot of the young guys really showed plenty.
Very exciting both for Willy's season and for the Pies as these guys keep the pressure on the seniors and perhaps (some of them) even push through for a shot at the big show this year.
