I didn't think Maxwell played much of a role in precedings he did a few nice things but wasn't a prominent player.
Cook will be a good player , but his attempt to handball over the top when he marked late deep in the last 15 metres out and would have sealed the game was moronic and they cleared a certain goal.
Just on a Williamstown players note Dean Gallea played one of the worst 3rd quarters I've ever seen , astonishing lack of football smarts in the conditions.
Rowe did take some nice grabs and actually seared one of the best left foot passes I've ever seen onto Ruslings chest in the first , went 40 metres at about shin height.

Great to hear that Clokey and Neon took their demotions the right way (and Rhyce).

Fantastic also to hear that Rhyce is starting to stand up as a club leader.

good report lads

always want to see some pressure being applied.

Hoping JC gets a game this week. Maxwell may get it as he is a better match up for Buddy.

This isn't something that has just started for Rhyce, those who have seen him play for Williamstown would know he has been a general for as long as he has been there. If you hear a booming voice on the field instructing or encouraging players you can almost bet it is shawy. This bloke has a great head on his shoulders and for everything he's been through I have the utmost admiration for him.

When he first started to play for Williamstown the old williamstown supporters didn't give him an inch, they'd boo him at every chance and give him a bake at every chance. Could have 30 great touches but if he then made one mistake he would cop it from all sides of the ground. Not sure if it was a lingering hatred from his dad's days at Preston that he was instantly hated but he certainly was. Rhyce just knuckled down and went about his business. Then of course he copped a fair bit from the Collingwood supporters when he started to play seniors. Then one incident in the Grand Final (in a game that the whole team got flogged in) he was singled out as the reason we lost and it seemed to be ok to have a go at him in the press regardless of the reason. He knuckled down and went about playing footy. Then he starts to play good consistent senior footy and gets the knee injury. Has come back on hasn't seem to lost his attack and speed. Been dropped back to Williamstown a couple of times but as shown on the weekend goes out their and if he isn't winning the ball he is marshalling everyone. Shows great character and I tip my hat to him.

Yes I took the opportunity to say a few words about going to a club to get senior football which he seemed to think he should get and not work for. As I did the previous week for McGough who is another who thought he was better than every player who played above him and went to another club to get the senior footy he assume he deserved. A good couple of weeks really.
