is it just me?

Post by Proud Pies »

Okay, I've cleared my cookies and cache and cleaned out everything, but when i read a thread, it still shows it's unread. It's only just started happening, so just wondering if it's just me.

well i tell you what's worse than that, i can't log in with my usual name. cleared cookies and all that, reset my password, came back in 4 hours, and it still tells me i can't log in for 30 mins.

ummmmmm yes Darth Cam and that's what i'm using.

seems to be just in General Discussion, all other forums appear to be working ok.

hmmmm no, i could mark a few in the trade forum as read, but there are still a few i can't get rid of. bit strange.

i've now logged in on IE and the same problem exists. Might just ask Mike.

okay, i think i've worked it out. it seems that the time and date is acting up and if it's with a weird time, then the post doesn't show as read until that time.

I just read this post on GD.....and right now it's 8.24pm on Saturday 4th November.

I've spoken to He Who Knows All and Can Generally Fix all (Mike) and he's found there was a glitch in the server with the times.

So, what's happened is that it's screwed up the times. Once that time on the post has passed, then you can mark them as read. However, those that made the future time/dated posts, can't log in until that time has passed (or something like that).

Should all be right by sometime tomorrow.
