I'd like to see the articles return and have them as a feature, maybe even new player profiles with the stats updated...thats all I can think of now...

If people are willing to write articles, then they someone can put them up. I no longer have the time to write articles myself.

Thanks for the input Dave.

yeah i was looking through it the other day, it's very outdated. Nothing there for the 2007 Season. Such a shame to see it die like that.

There's really not a lot I can add or do on it. Which is a shame. I'm not writer (as you can tell from my posts ;))

As ive expressed, i am unable to write articles or do much updating. I enjoy coming on to post, but much of the posting is done from my work desk. I leave the window open on the side and when i get a minute i check whats happening.

Until people are willing to contribute, its best the site lays dormant as a historical index as opposed to having the odd story and then nothing. I think perhaps we should look at rejigging the page to make it more a database than news site, atleast for the meantime

I'd take a stab at updating if given a look into how to upload onto it and do the work needed. I would also be willing to write for the site, 2007 has been a tough year to get things done, from a personal stand point.

I have wanted to build a site and a forum for football in Tasmania providing the stats and such but I left that idea dead. I've enjoyed helping with the scoreboard in 2007 and would like to help as much as I could around the site.

So if there is a way for me to help around the site, I'd like to offer.

I could possibly give access. However, I'm very hesitant to do so, as I don't want the updates to be a 'every now and again' thing. If people are serious about posting multiple articles...and often, then I would would look at the access situation. However, until such a time someone is willing to put their hand up and say, 'sure no probs', and then actually do as they say, I think the site will remain dormant for the time being.

i understand that this post was written a while ago and things have changed..

so i think dave's current weekly previews should definately be a feature of the front page. they are something to look forward to

secondly we can have results from some of the current polls that are being run on the main board?

just some ideas

oh and can we have a big sign saying no jack_spains allowed

:P

Thanks Kingswood, unfortanately, for the time we need to put into it, it's just not justified.

I just don't have time these days to worry about it. Thanks though. Dave still has access, so he could be them up if he wants.

no worries

i think it will really be a good feature.. and dave should be treated as one of nicks own.. not one of bigfooty's own..

bigfooty have already created a sub-forum and a fancy template for his weekly previews as they have become a regular feature

anyways, whether its taken on board or not, good work nonetheless fellas

As I said, Dave is able to post them on there if he wants. He has access, maybe he will start doing it if he sees your post. I always thought it was a good part of the website, but it just didn't get the readership in the end.

Most people didn't even know that part of the website existed.
