I'm sure there are plenty of other boards for IT geek speak and to talk computers.
How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

Dave, that's why we have VPT - for all topics which are not related to Collingwood or sport itself. If you wish to talk computers, do so there, or elsewhere, as Bucks5 has suggested.

hehehe.

It doesn't sound like such a bad idea, but I wonder if there'd be enough interest to have a whole board devoted to IT matters. Maybe someone should just start a thread in the VPT for computer discussion, and everyone can post in there?

Don't be so self-deprecating.
I'm sure out there somewhere, in some god forsaken part of the world, there is a freak who is just right for you.
You are in Tassie, right?
Might even be your sister!

I think Prototype Dave might be onto something though... there does seem to be a high correlation between excessive computer use and severe sex deprivation

As for me, I am just beginning the rehabilitation process in conquering this terrible affliction. Two nights ago, I got out of the computer chair to get some food... small step, yes, but who knows, in a few weeks, I might even be able to leave the house!!!!

Drat. No myspace comments in the last 20 seconds. ;)

'The Official IT Thread' could be handy, stickied and all the IT stuff can be posted there. 8)

Why would you want to do that? Free internet porn, free movies on-line, you can order food on-line, hell soon you'll be able to get a good hooker on-line.

Perhaps as prototype suggested, we could just sticky an IT thread in one of the other boards, other than GD, perhaps in here....where people can ask questions etc. I dont think there is a real need for a whole new board but.
