I just watched the video of the game and I'm impressed with the boys.
They looked tough and fast and mean and there was plenty of skill and cheek. No one's going to brush us aside from now on.
We had a dirty day kicking for goal, but those things happen. Obviously it wasn't meant to be.
We made too many bad turnovers, but that's what playing a season will iron out.
Practice will make for better decisions, better discipline.
I'm pretty worried about Rocca though...might have been just not his day...but we need a big mark on the forward line to help Tarrant and Molloy. A BIG mark. Maybe McKee at full forward might work. I think he's turning out OK and I like his agility.
We're not marking time with this team...its going places...with talent like Adkins, Davis(2) and Didak and others still to develop, we can expect some great games ahead.
But we just need one more big man who can burn them up on the forward line...what's Tuckey doing?
Any other tall youngster waiting in the wings who can hold a mark?
We have some long term champs in this side, no doubt about it.
