there's nothing wrong with being a tee totaller. My mother is one, she grew up Salvation Army, but she did buy a bottle of cheap 'plonk' after the 1953 grand final and got drunk on it.
Then i did see her drink an advokat and lemonade sometime in the 60's, but that's about it.
No Tv and no Beer make Stui go.................Ummmmmmm........
If you don't like the taste of beer or Brandy, there's plenty of premixed drinks out their aimed at teenies who like sweet things. Just like soft drink but with a kick. I don't personally like them, I have a savoury palate.
Ethanol has very little actual flavour of it's own, so you can't really say you don't like the taste. It's the medium that the alcohol is in that has the flavour.
If you don't drink Alcohol because you don't like how it effects you, fair enough. Same for religious reasons or personal/ social reasons. Some people grew up with alcoholic parent (s) and choose not to drink.
As far as Alcohol causing brain damage, I personally subscribe to the Buffalo theory.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
