6.5 out of 10?
Not impressed?
Luke warm assessment?
Bejesus farkin christ people, what does a kid have to do get a some praise?????!!!!!!!!!!!!
Took great grabs last week in terrible conditions and belted home 8 goals.
Took great grabs this week and belted home 4 goals, plus all the assists and busting packs for the rovers.
I am blowing the lid off this one. This was a stunning debut for a kid that was not supposed to play ANY football this season.
Poise, courage, strength, composure and class. Chris has it all and he is the most down to earth, level headed bloke you could want to meet.
Go Dynomite Dawesy!
10 out of 10. Now we move up to 11!

You get as excited as you want Joff. I'm going to indulge in a little tantric support and hang onto the feeling until he steps up in the big time.joffa corfe wrote:Please dont get excited..

I watched him at training one night having kicking practice with Rocca and Travis. Just the three of them moving around the arc kicking all angles all distances. He is as big as both of them, and had a beautiful kicking style. I've been excited about him for quite a while now, and there is nothing wrong with being excited.
Yesterday he played good without being a stand out. But what did stand out was the future. Reid and Dawes worked well together, early on they seemed to be a bit here and there, and Reid seemed to make a couple of mistakes, especially once where he marked and Bucks tells him to go back and take his kick, he plays on and gets caught. But these were things which can be easily rectified and not a huge worry. (I guess when ya 100 points up you tend to take more risks) I think there is a great future for both of them. I did like the aggression at the ball and the man which Dawes showed though. Ohhhh a big, bustling, bulky tough bastard!!!!

Joffa - I am just as excited as you about Dynamite.
He will be our CHF for the next decade and looks better than JB at that age.
I think the Pies will keep him at Willi this year and let him loose next season with a full pre season under the belt.
This will spell the ending of the career for Pebbles with with NFL awaiting he will be fine and hopefully in the Silver and Black.
Dawes has a lot of the traits that cannot be taught - toughness, agression, timing and skill to burn.
This kid can run too so you cannot play a defender that will run off him as they now do with Pebbles.
Pies high towers of Reid, Dawes, Cloke and Fraser will give many teams a big headache - especially when the Pies can rotate Fraser and Cloke through the wing or ruck rover.
Just win baby.

Don't write off Pebbles too quickly. We have an ideal transition arrangement. Pebbles plays for at least 2 more seasons while Dawes gets a handle on it without having to be "the main man" while still a kid then after about 50 games he should be ready to take over the mantle.
