A lovely man, who I had the pleasure of meeting a few years ago. He had lots of stories to tell and a heart of gold. Deepest condolences to his family.

I remember seeing a story on him many years ago, where they mentioned he had done a load of premiership cartoons to be used after his death. Could be a problem with GC, west sydney or Tassie though.

Well picked up mate. Some people might not be aware that WEG stood for William Ellis Green.

He may have done a load of premiership cartoons for the future. But his best ones are the caricatures of captains and coaches of the teams that won the flag.

If he has done a few caricatures of mascots it really means nothing. Just add the date at the bottom of any of the old ones if thats all it is.

As a fan you want to know that the cartoon was done for your team, for their performance on the day.

RIP WEG. Unless you had a crystal ball,,, you would not know who our next premiership coach or captain would be.

RIP WEG.

I had the pleasure of him doing a caricature of me at the ICAA conference last year, and that was on top of the one he did of me at a CPA conference in Albury over a decade a go.

A gerat semse of theatre and he signed my second one as WEG mark 11.
