Where's a good place to buy a dress for the copeland?

Post by stui magpie »

Sorry for intruding, and NO it's not for me.

I'm planning on taking my daughter to the Copeland this year. 17 and a size 8. I have NFI where to buy something decent that won't cost me an arm and a leg. I'm prepared to spend $200-$300 on something nice, plus shoes. Unless I need to spend more?

Any clues or tips anyone?

Take a wonder down Chapel St. Bound to find something there.

Then stop for yum cha at the Oriental Teahouse.

Swish on centre road where?

And yeah, I sort of figured chapel st would be good but any thing more specific, like a particular shop?
(dunno bout the yum cha, she's a 17 yr old, she eats air)

Also, she asked me, any particular colour in fashion? I'd think of the basic black but I'm probably so far out of touch it doesn't matter.

Careful tubby or I'll take you along for a model :P She's taller than you and 50kg with a belly full of water.

I'm comfy going into the chick shops, I just have NFI what's in fashion and where to buy something nice.

Can't remember the name of the place I bought a gorgeous dress from, but there was heaps of stores to chose from. Between Commercial Rd & Toorak Rd, even say between Bridie O'Reilly's & Commercial Rd.

As for colour - it's the Copeland, right? Can't go past black & white

She can have a nice Oolong tea then, while you have their BBQ Pork buns. Delicious.

Colour really depends on her skin tone and hair colour but you can't go wrong with deep purple and it's a bit of an 'in' colour at the moment.

I can never find dresses that fit nicely or look nice on me!

I walked into one store in America and found 5 that I loved and fitted me perfectly, and it cost me less then $100. All cocktail dresses, too!!

And now, I find out that my friend didn't get my Copeland tickets! God dammit!!!!!! :(

Love always, Alyssa xoxo
