Jonty Rhodes has been taken off the SA one-day list with his broken hand...

I believe this is a huge blow for SA....not only is he easily the best fielder in the world....but he is their most consistant batsman....he plays a similiar role to Bevan (although he is MUCH better)he keeps the innings together...

SA will miss him BIG TIME.....

Yes, sad to see another champion leave the game in undesirable circumstances. Well played, Jonty, a good cricketer, a great fieldsman.

Jonty WAS a great fieldsman but not 'easily the best'. It's hard to find one better but of the current players, Ponting, Gibbs and Symonds are right up there with him.

no doubt, gibbs and ponting are hot on Jonty's tail for the "best fielder" category....but Jonty set the std and has raised the bar, time and time again...Like I said...he is easily the best.....others will just keep playing catch up

I actually agree with you this time Pies Premiers but I doubt it's going to happen often! Jonty Rhodes is an absolute champion and will be missed!
