There's not a lot of difference in the experience dept. MacGill has played 56 one-dayers and taken 100 wickets. Hauritz has played 32 for 46 wickets.

MacGill goes for 4.8 r.p.o. Hauritz, 4.4

Either way it's unlikely Hauritz will play a big part, if at all, in the tournament as Hogg, Symonds and Lehmann have that spot covered.

Well done to Hauritz nice to see another young man in the Australian team! I don't care that MacGill didn't get picked to be honest! Image

He might play against Namibia, if he is over the jet lag....other then that I suspect he wont get much match time...if any

But a good experience nevertheless....

I think it's great that the selectors have started choosing some of the younger guys. It comes at a good time, when the younger ones can learn from the more experienced senior players and not all get thrown in at the deep end (as happened in the early to mid 80s). So, finally I agree with a selection decision!
