ok now that the world cup is over, ( most of u know who i go for)
its time to concentrate on the test matches again! australia's next test series is against the much improved test side the westindies!!! for those of you who dont know the west indies side that well hears a little sneek preview on them (my opinion and what ive heard about them)

CARL HOOPER
Right Hand Bat
Right Arm Off Break,He is a masterful timer of the ball.Though he has shots all round the wicket, he is strong behind square on the off side and through mid-wicket. A solid player of pace and spin, he is capable of hitting over the top as well as keeping the ball on the carpet. A brilliant slip fielder, he also bowls useful off-spin which has given him nearly 300 international wickets.

BRIAN LARA
left handed batsmen- as we all know brian lara is one of the greatest batsmen of his era! he's a devistating player when in form and loves to play against the likes of mcGrath and warne! he has shots all around the wicket and has the ability to make match winning centuries!

SHIZ CHANDERPAUL
Left Hand Bat-shivran chanderpaul has been a great batsmen for the westindies over the years, he's not a big man but can play those little innings that hold the team 2gether, his record against australia isnt very flash and he missed the last tour of australia

CHRIS GAYLE
Left Hand Bat- chris gayle is a very up and down batsmen! he has the ability to blow away a game in a matter of hours, and he can fall cheaply due to his reckless stoke play! loves to play down the ground and threw point! hasnt played against australia yet! has trouble against line and length bowling! he also bowls usfull little leg breaks and has been successfull with the during the world cup

RAMNARESH SARWAN
right handed bat- little sarwan is a gun! he has all the shots and when the west indies are down he can really get an innings going! loves to hook and pull and has a very good test cricket strick rate! loves to play spin! could be a westindian match winner.


MERV DILLON
right erm med fast- merv dillon is probebly the best of the weak west indian bowling attack, he's a tall man who gets alot of bounce which isnt very good when bowling to the likes of hayden! he was one of the best bowlers last time westindies played australia and can get up to 145 ks p/h. as most bowlers he has trouble with the bat!

RYAN HINDS
right handed batsmen
slow left arm- a young man with great tallent! can strick a ball and has the ability to take wickets with his left arm bowling! havent really seen much of him, he was the captain of westindies 19's team.

RIDLEY JACOBS
left hand batsmen
wicket keeper-naturally aggressive left-hander, and an impressive glove-man, Jacobs has solved the West Indies' keeping dilemmas. was into his thirties before he made his Test debut.loves to pull and hook and go over the top! can play the innings saver on some occasions!

PEDRO COLLINS
Right Hand Bat
Left Arm Fast Medium- pedro collins is another one of the westindies mediocre first class bowlers on his day can find a good line and length and stick with it but i havent seen him on his day much! lol cant bat for shit

RICARDO POWLEL
Right Hand Bat- a great stricker of the ball and can blast a big innings! has the ability to destory even good line and length bowling! uses his feet well and bowls handy little off breaks

WAVEL HINDS
LEFT handed batsmen- opens the batting! loves to drive, can play a good innings but is yet to show any consistancy! can bowl very usefull medium pacers!

THE GREAT, MARLON SAMUELS!
right hand bat
right arm off spiner- one of the most tallented young west indians in many years, debuted in australia and never looked back! playes every shot and bowls very usefull off spiners! a great young allrounder who can do almost anything!

VASPER DRAKES (and "KIP" for those of u who watch futurama)
right arm medium fast- vasper drakes is a good fast bowler who can take wickets, an attacking bowler who is also no dud witht he bat! has had a good world cup and has a pretty good average! is alien shaped head stands out and i cannot miss him!he's not young (31) and has waited a long time to break into the side!

NIXON McCLEAN
right arm medium fast- could be his last series! has copped a lot of flak in the past few months! has had a good carrier and can have a swing with the bat! can be a danger for australian batsmen!

so there's most of the westindian team! there a young team with some talent but mabye not enough to steal a series win over australia! it will be a 4 match series then the 1day games with westindies australia and srilanka!
