Pick 27 and Bedford to GWS for pick 19 or 21.

Pick 19 or 21 to Collingwood.

That should be the deal we're aiming for.

Yes, I just think it will end up being a bit better than 27 ( which will likely be 29 on the night ) so that makes it look even less appealing.
You almost need an early twenties pick, in the knowledge that two F / S selections will have already been called out, adding + 2 spots to that pick.

^ Let's hope it's better, otherwise we stand a good chance of turning Grundy into the next Ryan Cook.

Be thankful it is not us having to give them a draft pick, like Bowes from gold coast

That one really makes the Treloar trade look good by comparison.

Looks like a future second round for Grundy from the Fuchsias unless a 25 or higher this year.

May as well let him walk to the pre-season draft at this stage. Sounds like we're getting a packet of jellybeans at best!

Just shaking my head that we can't get a decent player + draft pick in return. Ten years ago that would have been an absolutely reasonable expectation for a trade like this, I would have thought.

The hypocrisy is what Melbourne expect for Jackson because he is a former 3 pick and premiership player. That's their reasoning for 2 1st round picks plus.

Well Grundy is a dual AA and grand final player.

Ridiculous. Expect fallout.

Exactly. Grundy for Jackson would itself be a fair swap, but only because Jackson is younger. Otherwise, Grundy is clearly the superior player; if they were playing together, it goes without saying that Jackson would be his second banana. So it's outrageous that they should be expecting to part with less for him than they're demanding for Jackson.

Melbourne are upgrading a position and taking back 2-3 first round picks. This whole Jackson thing has become a joke.

Jackson is a former pick 3, a premiership player and only just turned 21 years old. Dems pretty good bargaining chips me thinks!
