So people are in Victoria are all Idiots because we want as little people Sick and Dying of Covid?
No, only the ones who think Andrews is doing a good job and would vote for him again. Despite the hard lockdown, cases are increasing faster than NSW, deaths will follow.

Melbourne protester tests positive
A man who attended yesterday's protest has tested positive for COVID-19.

The man is in hospital but not in ICU, health sources have told the ABC.

Much as I'd like to well deserved, if he's in hospital today he's highly unlikely to have caught it yesterday, more likely he already had it and has potentially infected lots of others. The kind of douche who wouldn't have got tested, as are many of those he's probably infected so no chance of tracing it unless the sick present at hospital.

Cases aren't increasing faster than NSW, though, are they? I posted weeks ago that it looked like Victoria was between 4 and 6 weeks behind NSW. NSW passed 800 cases a day for the first time on 21 August. 766 new cases for Victoria today, so Victoria is still about a month behind NSW's trajectory.

It is a real possibility, by the way, that the sudden jump today is a consequence of the various "protests" since last weekend. The median generation interval for Delta is about 4 days but the generation interval may, as I understand the reports, be as little as about 1 and a half days. When we talk about a median, what that means is that half the generations are below the median number and half are above it. So, eg, some people who were infected on Tuesday are already able to infect other people today. I make that observation because it's easy enough to say, well the median is 4 days, so we're looking for transmission events before last Monday - and that, in this context, isn't correct.

And if he’s in hospital did he have symptoms yesterday that he ignored?

That's what the data says, there may be many reasons for it, but as you said previously, you'd back Victorian daily cases to pass NSW in the next week.

Very convenient to try and blame the protests, are you sure you’re not Dans media advisor?

They were always going to surge, the outbreak was growing faster than NSW so there was no hope of it stopping anytime soon.

Much like Dan after playing good cop went full on blame on the Feds today with case jumping and the pressure of the construction shutdown he was desperate for a distraction.

That’s why his poll numbers are still high, there are plenty of idiots in Victoria who actually believe his spin.

speaking of idiots...

that guy who tested positive, how many people did he spit on yesterday when he was yelling his idiot slogans? how many in a weeks time wont be able to hide their symptoms, P4S already pointed out its not growing faster, you just dont want to see it. a lot of the cases in recent weeks have come straight from construction sites. they had it coming. no one to blame but themselves. i just feel sorry for the tradies doing the right thing....as i do for joe blow in the street doing the right thing. problem is there are far to many selfish arsholes who dont give a shit about other people.

FREEDOM! how good will freedom be for you when you mum is in hospital struggling to breathe on a ventilator?
