Just had a pleasant surprise. I usually play music by going into explorer, finding the song or album I want (I have them all over the place depending on how they got on the computer) and play it.

this time for some reason I opened Windows Media Player instead and found all the music on the computer looking at me. Can sort alphabetically by song or by album, including all the album art. :D

Listening to Dire Straits Love Over Gold now. Brilliant album.

Melody Gardot's album My one and only thrill.

Love her sound. Jazz, Swing, and a great and sultry voice. Her story makes it all so much more meaningful.

Have been listening to Randy Newman last few days. A radio programme interviewed Tim Freidman from the Whitlams about him that I heard recently & Tim said he cries when he listens to Randy Newman. Me too at times especially this song & album

Still pumping out the Foo Fighters tracks, listening to the "There Is Nothing Left to Lose" album. Went to the epic concert on saturday, still got the live show buzzzzzzzz.

How long have you been using a blend of electronic and live instruments along with a chorus of harmonies Vespertina's sound is as big and theatrical as their live shows ?

Thomas Dolby : A map of the floating city.
First full LP from Thomas in about 15 years. Well worth the wait.
Hugely creative man, who invented "polyphonic" tones and licensed it to nokia, which makes him akin to the Monkee who's mother invented liquid paper. Neither need ever work again.

haven't heard from him in may years - not released for 15 might well be a good reason!
