The Berg

Best game so far?
Difficult to say that Swoop. He clearly isn't fit. He was made to look a bit slow early but in the second half he did some good things. But he can really play. Don't worry about that. He has real poise in traffic.

Much appreciated although the audio needed tweaking

Does anyone here think Williams is worth drafting? Seems highly skilled IMO
Is he the type of player we need, very slight. Agree he's skilled but would he get senior opportunities?

Just got home, the VFL just gets better, was worth the 3 hour round trip lol.

Great stadium down there too, first time I've been since it's been finished.

Anyway, short review of what was a sensational come from behind win to secure a finals spot;

14; Young - Did not play, as in is the only emergency who didn't play
18; Jesse White - If he does nothing else he will be remembered for securing us a VFL finals berth in 2014. Was ok in the ruck, ok around the ground but once he went forward, DEEP FORWARD (Hello Bucks) he was magnificent. Marked everything in the last quarter, kicked everything and was the difference.
21; Quinten Lynch; Walked off with his kids post game, read anything into that? Fought hard all day without having a massive impact, rucked ok too.
24; Josh Thomas; I thought he was poor for 2 1/2 quarters, but then helped lift the side in the final quarter and a bit, when he works his arse off he can be a very good player.
27; Tony Armstrong; In our best 3-4 players for sure, worked really well across half back with Langdon, they kept us in the game.
31; Jackson Ramsay; One of his better games, held his man, and actually used the ball well today I thought.
33; Patty Karnezis; 16 touches and 5 marks by quarter time, then he was tagged and moved forward, was missing for 2 quarters but came back well in the last.
35; Matthew Scharenberg; Looked better again today, still lacking real pace and fitness, you can just see it but his abilities to read the ball are first class.
37; Kyle Martin; Kicked the first goal then didn't do a heap after that (comparing him to his great VFL standard). He came home really hard though and was crucial in that last quarter.
38; Peter Yagmoor; Had it tough today, was playing as a tall defender basically so that hurt his game. Battled well though.
40; Paul Seedsman; Another one who went missing at times but he finished the game off strongly too, some of his passes in the last quarter were sublime.
41; Tom Langdon; BOG, he simply was. Got beat one on one in the last quarter once but apart from that was brilliant. Love his tackling, his ball use, his marking and his spoils. What a player he is going to be.
44; Corey Gault; Was poor as a forward, couldn't mark a thing, then BANG, into the ruck he went almost full time in the last quarter and he was immense. Won clear hitouts to team mates and won possessions too, he is a better ruckman then White.
48; Caolon Mooney; Did some nice things and kicked the sealer in the last quarter, played ok without being brilliant. Is in good form though.

Of the top up players Williams, Moloney and ferguson were the best.

8.1 final time, STUNNING, so happy, WE ARE IN THE FINALS.

It's only after going back and reading this on the ride home does the 'Earth Jesse' thing make sense. I kept seeing you saying it during the call and though "WTF is Kosh on about, is he channelling something out of Captain Planet?!"

Can I just say, as a DC Comics fan, I appreciate the reference, all the same...
