Always appreciate the transcripts, Jezza, thanks!

And de goey is our most important player bar none.
This. Johnny Noble is almost elite class. He gets better and better. He makes the odd mistake like all defenders, and gets roasted for it. But unlike most defenders, his value as an attacking player is immense. Not long ago some on here were questioning if he was best 22.

So true. Nathan Murphy is such a tenacious player. He touched a sure goal off the boot from a Crows player in third quarter I think it was. Result was a point. It was a full throttle lunge to attempt to touch the ball and he succeeded, where many a player would give just a cursory fling at it.
What a gem he is. I do so hope he is okay and not concussed again.

Did I notice Nicky D do two diving smothers in the last? Add them to the one percenters.
In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Same. Loved this:

How fitting was it that Darcy Moore got that chop out right at the end? How influential was he for you guys?

"Oh, incredible. Opening up here, but he was sick before the game. He was a chance not to play and you get that 20 minutes before the game you think he might not play and you go 'oh god, what do you do' but to then go out and perform is incredible".

*Ps. Darcy featured prominently in the GB voting.

2018 GF loss was a blessing in disguise, had we won that GF, Bucks would’ve still been coaching & Craig McRosebud would’ve been elsewhere.

Thank your lucky stars Pies people, many believe #16 is coming home.

I’ll wait patiently…

I know what you're saying but losing 2018 was devastating. You just have to take your opportunity when it's there.

I just can't subscribe to the idea that losing a Grand Final is good because something better might happen years down the track.

It is a long season, but right now, it is hard to see anyone beating us on the MCG with an average injury list. Add Lipinski, Pendlebury, McStay (for balance) and Cameron or Cox to that side and we are as good a side as 2011.

We still kept going.
Free against Moore (high contact)
Deliberate against DeGoey
This. Moore was paid a free against in defence when trying to mark our kick out cos a Crow ran back with the flight and put his body and head in between Moore’s arms while Moore’s trying to clutch the pill. The sport is cooked.

Minutes later Ash is eye gauged and decapitated in the goal square…play on…

Obviously, there's always pressure for a team to get away to a good start and make the most of their opportunities. Adelaide had heaps of them early, but their kicking for goal was off. I think it was 3-10 at one stage.
I am just wondering whether our ability to come from the clouds late actually translates into a little more pressure than normal for the opposing team to kick straight?
Putting it another way, have we got into the heads of opposing teams not just at the start of the final quarter, but also from the very beginning of the game with this amazing ability to storm over the top late?
Not sure, but I do know that so much of the game is played between the ears these days and our boys have cultivated an amazing weapon in this regard.

And Murphy’s smother as well (from score review).

6 points to Adelaide was suddenly 1 point to Adelaide. More than the difference with the final margin.

The umpires failed in their duty of care to Murphy. The club should pursue clarification from the AFL about why play commenced before Murphy was off with the blood rule and replaced with another player.
