I saw the twos play Frankston today.
Came away confirming that the 3G's are list cloggers Gault Golds and Goodyear. The last G - Goldsack was good. He was vocal and solid.
Wills- a smooth mover and ball hunter. Does everything well. Another pre season will do no harm. Speed is a concern but his size and decision making makes up for it
Broomhead- my pick for BoG. Set up a lot of forward run from the wing and was the cleanest disposer. Has genuine roving ability which is sadly lacking in the forward line in the seniors.
Toovey and Goldsack were solid but you expect that.
Frost is verging on list clogger status. With Keeffe back next year he will struggle to get a game. Spoils continuesly but sets up nothing.
Phillips and Crocker are both progressing well. Both were very busy throughout Crocker got smashed in the testicles at one stage and was in a bad way. Came back strongly after going into the rooms.
Crocker is a real competitor with good skill.
Both boys can kick which makes them a rare commodity at Collingwood

Thanks Magpie Bat. Have been at work & got home at 9.30-10pm. Great to read. You've done it again.
Magpie radio the other week said that the bloke who kicked 4 was brought to the club by a guy affiliated / linked with the pies who ? coached him in a suburban comp was it? a premiership or grandfinal team from last year. Sorry about the poor recollection but I'd just stopped glue sniffing when I heard it Either that or my memory ain't what it used to be.

Thanks for the play-by-play commentary MagpieBat. I didn't have any time today to follow the match so this hugely appreciated.
Great that the boys could win and how do you explain our fantastic 2nd and 4th quarters but our lacklustre 1st and 3rd quarter. It seemed like a strange match in that regard.
Seems like a few of the boys have potentially put their hands up for senior selection next week.
