I'll be staggered if he doesn't get off. There is no evidence of any injury, or even hurt to the Lions player. He got straight up and played on, without even rubbing his face.

Sure, Greene rubbed his fingers over the player's face, but I can't see what actual offence he committed, given that the players eyes were not actually gauged.

He's a nasty little prick, and clearly something of a sick puppy, but I don't think there's a rule against that.

Wish he played for the Pies. 8)

Why stop there? Why not make him captain?

If Greene played for the Pies 100 bucks says he would’ve been gone last week - for 2!

Poor Toby Greene. "He has been harshly dealt with." Everyone in the media wants him to be free to play. WTF?!

"GWS will argue there's no difference between what occurred this week to last so the consequence should be the same. "

The tribunal has no formal knowledge of what happened last week because no evidence was put to it. No video, no witnesses. The tribunal received a guilty plea from Toby Greene and the AFL barrister did not press for a sanction except a fine.

This time video evidence will be put to the tribunal. So they will consider his alleged inappropriate hand actions (for the first time).

They can also give him another week , sometimes they don't like people appealing their decisions sometimes.

What time are we expected to hear the decision?

Live text stream from the AFL website from 5:30pm.

If it gets complicated might be a few hours before a verdict comes down.

Underway now.

AFL using Nick Pane QC this time (instead of Jeff Gleason QC as they did last time).

I cannot believe the utter rubbish coming out of Greene’s mouth. The most choreographed responses made up after looking at the vision to try and make it fit with his actions. The BS meter is at Extreme.

Greene getting caught out contradicting himself.

Reportedly said to the tribunal: "...can't recall ever making contact with Neale's face."

Followed by: "his right hand "potentially" made contact to the nose of Neale."

I thought infringed players were no longer invited to give evidence because it was generally seen as being a waste of time due to the players code.

The tribunal hearing was even more of a complete farce last week now if Bontempelli could have been requested to appear (he may have stuck to the players code anyway but privately the Bulldogs were said to be fuming at his treatment).

As it is the AFL fixed the result from the beginning in only seeking a fine when a suspension should have been the starting point that could be argued down.

Greene would be an expert at perjury.

The fix is in...he'll be cleared...Nothing is more certain.
