I think those questions are to be asked of Quaynor - can’t begin to imagine why you would think that taking Lipinski’s 4 goals out of the team and putting a complete damn %$^%$ like Treloar in there, instead, would have changed the outcome. What'sinaname wrote:No joke. Lipinski had 3 goals assists - all for Collingwood - kicked a goal and only moved the ball forwards. If Treloar was playing, the game would have been over by halftime - because Geelong thrive on guys who like to run around the backs of packs and move the ball away from goal. What'sinaname wrote:We would have won with Treloar

No shame tonight, great effort.. going to lose a close one at some point.
As I have said the whole way along, I have never got caught up in the 'flag chance' mania. We are battlers out of out weight devison in some respects. We have a 3rd tall as our key forward! No disrespect to Brody but in the first half we had to do better with our conversion.
I will ask this, why oh why was Kruger the sub???? You have Carmichael or Mcrae with runs on the board and you name a guy who has not played in months as a sub? Silly.

You care way too much about BigFooty. So what if that bunch of retards is laughing at us? It really is irrelevant. What'sinaname wrote:You know how we laughed at Richmond for losing by a goal on Thursday. We win pretty much every close H&A game and then lose the close final.
Only a total moron would make such a $$%^%%$ ludicrous pathetic comment like that, no way are we a laughing stock, we just ran best team in the comp to one bloody kick, no thanks to shitty umps. Even my bro in law, one eyed Tiger, said we did real well, real good, and should be proud of our boys. Wake up to yourself, that was way below the belt.

I feel really weird after this loss.
I feel like it was the loss we had to have to spur us on to the GF.
A loss of 1 goal to the minor Premiers will consolidate the belief, and at the same time, bring on ravishing hunger.
Winning would of course have been the perfect scenario.
Failing that, this is next best.
I feel that Fly will use this game to raise us to ultimate heights.
I have not lost any confidence from tonight, may have even gained some.
Weird.

Yes, Anthony. Just how i feel.AnthonyC wrote:People, it hurts.
Because we lost, because we had our chances, because we threw it away.
Every game is full of woulda coulda shouldas.
There are never any guarantees but…
If Geelong are the best in game then…
I saw enough today that tells me we can win it.

There were a couple of bad ones in the 3rd qtr after Ash banana miracle. Duncan gets one when Cameron squared up with Duncan 20m in the clear on his own. Gary Rohan gets one after when we was standing on his own 20m out and had a free run and jump to the contest. It frustrates me to hell when we peel off and don’t pick up players inside D50. I get leaving your man to impact a contest or get 3rd man up but these 2 didn’t have opponents to begin with and in a close game with goals hard to come by it is telling. What'sinaname wrote: No joke. That's all good until we run into Sydney. Let's be honest, we fugged up our best chance of pinching a flag today. If we won, we get a week off and a home PF. We fugged it, plain and simples, and we include the scumpires who were disgraceful.Magpietothemax wrote:I feel really weird after this loss.

Absolutely this. Blew a genuine chance of pinching a flag today. What'sinaname wrote:That's all good until we run into Sydney. Let's be honest, we fugged up our best chance of pinching a flag today. Next to no chance from here on in.
Sad reality of it unfortunately.
No guarantees next year or the years after. This want a ‘free hit’. This was a HIT at potential glory. And yet again the club blew it. Harsh, but that’s the facts.
