Pies at the mcg best performing.

Barring KB.

Belted port there mcg early in the season. Plus bet them in Adl.

lions was given a leg up in playing v us at marvel so this voids lions and pies in melb for 2023.

Pies will belt dees in the qf.

MCG full strength line up.

Why Pies aren’t ruling out Daicos for blockbuster Dees clash

...Collingwood coach Craig McRae has conceded injured superstar Nick Daicos is “up against it” to feature in next Thursday night’s Qualifying Final against Melbourne, but refused to rule him out...

https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/teams/ ... 60ca71e0d3

If Nick Daicos is "In", all you guys will have to redo your suggested team against Dees (or have plan B). :D
If he comes in and is fit, it will be all the more exciting, morale lifting and give us a better chance to win.

However IMO, if Nick plays and is not entirely right, it could be disastrous for us for the rest of the finals.
I hope they err on the side of caution.

Agree 100%. No need to rush him back unless we're sure he's not just fully recovered but able to contribute to his usual standard.

Call me conservative, cautious or foolish but I don’t think they should play him in the first final. The risks are far too high given that if we win, we have another week’s rest before we play again. So if we win, we play him in the next final in a fortnight but if we lose we will have to play him a week earlier.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️

I acknowledge Nick would improve us and be a moral boost but facing finals the players should be keen as mustard

And another thing. Three finals appearances for the side -all wins
I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right

We all hope Grundy plays, Melbourne are 1-3 with Grundy since the bye, 6-0 without him…

Fly McCrae is, just as he often says, a pure optimist, and he has full belief in our players - which is why they have performed so well.
He wants to emphasize to Naicos that he puts no limits on what he (Naicos) can achieve.
Moreover, this keeps Melbourne guessing.
I have full confidence in Jarod Wade and the rest of the fitness/rehab team that there is no way they will risk Naicos. He will only play if he is indeed ready.

No chance this week, needs at least a week of running pain free. If we take short cuts it's a potential long term issue.

meanwhile, speaking of injuries, can Bruzzy please stamp hard on Fritch's foot before the first bounce?
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

So that gets us:

Out: McStay, Frampton
In: Murphy, Moore

McReery Sub.
You need to drop another player to bring in McCreery, even as the sub.
Not sure what I’m missing.. From the team that STARTED rd 24, we swap Moore for Frampton, we swap Murphy for McStay. We swap Fin McRae for McReery as sub…

Perhaps I should have said ‘drop’ McRae too - but he wasn’t technically in the team to begin with.
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...
