WTF? I'm distinguishing her from the rest of the nonsense. Most Brits I know make the same distinction; i.e., they like QE2 far more than the rest of it.

There's nothing weirder than Aussies trying to out-royal locals.

Most people have only ever known one monarch, this will bring forward the republic debate as was always expected once Charles became the king.

To think Collingwood won the last ever Queens Birthday Blockbuster!
Good point. It wasn't her actual birthday, but what happens now? Does the holiday stay the same, or same day but now Kings Birthday or what?
Same day but now called King's Birthday is my bet. Apparently the notion of celebrating the monarch's birthday at around May/June goes back to the eighteenth century:

We went to local Platinum Jubilee events, which were a lot of fun, but I can tell you that kind of enthusiasm holds for QE2 alone.

I can see the irritation with Brexit rising sharply now, that's for sure. Without a reliable adult in the room all that's left are utter dimwits like Johnson and now Truss, leaving the country both friendless and devoid of leadership.

I'm only guessing here, but the term Rainbow Bridge is popularly associated with pets dying.

I had to look that up as I had NFI why Jo was upset, I thought you had been watching Thor movies
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

personally id rather see William take the throne.

He and his beautiful caring Wife could drag the Monachy into the 21st century.

The Queen was special, its a shame the Harry had to drag Her through the mud.

If anyone has to be king I'm on team Harry/Meghan 100%. The celebrity gossip magazines would go nuts!

Now your just trolling

Harry isn’t royal, let alone the missus

No way Charles is his father

And no Diana wasn’t a tramp, the marriage was already over,
She stayed for duty

Get a grip, for goodness' sake. It means I think hereditary monarchies are absurd, but nonetheless don't mind QE2.

Just in case people are confused, I'm the actual local who lives, works, studies, pays taxes, votes and partakes of society here
