The Hydra ~ Caro rears her head again

It is common consensus that EGM’s are a last resort and should be avoided as much as possible.
We are unfortunately at the “break glass in emergency” point brought on by poor board management and function.
I for one want an EGM and an election to sort this mess out. What Korda, Eddie, Sponsors etc fail to understand is that this whole mess is of their own creation. Members have had zero input or influence over this debacle so to be lectured about how the situation should be approached and resolved smacks of utter arrogance and disregard to the institution that is the Collingwood FC.
ALL board members of the last 5 years should hang their heads in shame at their incompetence and failure of duty. I WILL NOT listen or take advice from anyone that has been in a position where their actions or inactions have lead the club to this very low point (especially off the field).
Bring on the EGM!!!

Re the sponsors - the Doggies are doing okay with Pedigree dog food as a sponsor. There'd be plenty of sponsors out there that would still be interested I reckon. The board may just have to put in some constructive work for the club for a change!!!

The current board is inept.robevpau1 wrote:Mark Stevens just tweeted: "David Hatley, member leading charge for board spill at Collingwood has just released this to supporters: “Your amazing support means we already have almost double the number of signatures needed for an EGM.”
I unfortunately had to listen to a terrible Presidents speech at the luncheon today.
My goodness, it was cringeworthy at the pronunciations and errors in his speech. We apparently had a great win against “WA” last year!!! WTF???

There were simply too many unknowns and uncertainties for me to take the leap of faith and sign the petition.
If Browne or someone else announced an opposing ticket and they wish to challenge the board, then I would have been more willing to sign it.
Signing a petition and triggering an EGM for the sake of it could be counterproductive if no one stands up and challenges the current board.
