Ah, that would explain why there isn't any trust in it's efficacy.Morrigu wrote:[

In relation to the mandatory vaccinations for Authorised Workers, I have a question for anyone who can answer.
The current state of Emergency as I understand it provides the CHO with the power to make enforceable directions. Stay at home orders, mandatory vaccinations etc.
Here's where they all are https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorias-r ... s-covid-19
Note that there is not yet a signed direction for the announcement on Friday.
I note that the directions I have read, all have an end date which coincides with the current end date of the state of emergency.
At some point in the (hopefully) near future, we will have to come out of this state of emergency and return to normal governing. Once the state of emergency is lifted, the authority to make these directions also goes.
So the question is, once the State of Emergency is lifted, Vaccinations will no longer be mandatory for all the occupations in these directions?

Completely separate to the above, Just heard on the radio that the USA along with a number of other countries have recognised the AstraZeneca shot, so if you're fully vaccinated with the AZ shot you'll be free to go to those countries.

Hence why the required dates fall before their SOE ends.stui magpie wrote:In relation to the mandatory vaccinations for Authorised Workers, I have a question for anyone who can answer.

But there is little guarantee the 3 defacto ALP ‘cross benchers’ won’t give them further extensions despite claiming otherwise.

I accept that the SOE will need to be extended for the time being, we can't have all restrictions lapse until vaccinations get much higher, but at some point it has to go.
I'm informed that the Public Health Orders for the Authorised Workers will be completed and online by late tomorrow. That time delay from the announcement strongly indicates the decision was largely unplanned and last minute.

id suggest that idiots protesting in the city and selfish bastards at premiership parties, and those who are not vaccinated flaunting the law just to prove what total damn tools they are, is causing the rise. Its just over a week since those riots and GF celebrations/commisorations, people caught it and it took a few days to get to the point where they think uh oh, am i gunna die?Dave The Man wrote:Is Lockdown making Cases go up instead of Helping it less in Melbourne?
