Well, I'm pretty sure no lockdown would be making them go up a great deal further. But there definitely doesn't seem to be any downward pressure happening at the moment.

Take out today's result it looked like it was starting to flatten out but this suggests it's going to keep going up for a while yet.

id suggest that idiots protesting in the city and selfish bastards at premiership parties, and those who are not vaccinated flaunting the law just to prove what total $$%^%%$ tools they are, is causing the rise. Its just over a week since those riots and GF celebrations/commisorations, people caught it and it took a few days to get to the point where they think uh oh, am i gunna die?
+ 100

Exactly right. I despise these selfish bastards and the fact that they could they could infect people like my old mother who is shopping or walking her dog or whatever.

2nd record in 2 days, after overtaking Buenos Aires .

Here's hoping we don't go for the total case numbers.

1 million ‘essential workers’ continuing to go to work every day and spreading it from the West to the East.

But we knew from NSW what was going to happen, the only people surprised by these numbers are those who denied the facts in front of them for the last 2 months!!!

WOW

Just had an all staff video call to let people know about the mandatory vaccine orders. There was a small number of very vocal, misinformed and angry people

Some not realising that they have to have it and don't want to?

Will they fight it or just complain and get it?

Mix of things, quoting Human Rights, calling it unethical, immoral, illegal, saying how dare we force them.

The CEO explained we don't have a choice, have to comply with the public orders, so no jab no work, stood down without pay.

Probably 8 different people out of over 100 on the call really worked up but could be more staying silent.

Wasn't expecting that level of passion and vitriol.

We're better off having high numbers now, as that means fewer numbers when we open up. Everyone who gets in and out of hospital in the next 3 weeks is less of a burden on the surge that'll happen when we open up.

Yes, but that assumes that the numbers start going down by then.
