Well, I'm pretty sure no lockdown would be making them go up a great deal further. But there definitely doesn't seem to be any downward pressure happening at the moment.Dave The Man wrote:Is Lockdown making Cases go up instead of Helping it less in Melbourne?

Exactly right. I despise these selfish bastards and the fact that they could they could infect people like my old mother who is shopping or walking her dog or whatever.
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

1 million ‘essential workers’ continuing to go to work every day and spreading it from the West to the East.Dave The Man wrote:Is Lockdown making Cases go up instead of Helping it less in Melbourne?
But we knew from NSW what was going to happen, the only people surprised by these numbers are those who denied the facts in front of them for the last 2 months!!!

Some not realising that they have to have it and don't want to?stui magpie wrote:WOW
Just had an all staff video call to let people know about the mandatory vaccine orders. There was a small number of very vocal, misinformed and angry people
Will they fight it or just complain and get it?
Cheers big ears

Mix of things, quoting Human Rights, calling it unethical, immoral, illegal, saying how dare we force them.
The CEO explained we don't have a choice, have to comply with the public orders, so no jab no work, stood down without pay.
Probably 8 different people out of over 100 on the call really worked up but could be more staying silent.
Wasn't expecting that level of passion and vitriol.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

We're better off having high numbers now, as that means fewer numbers when we open up. Everyone who gets in and out of hospital in the next 3 weeks is less of a burden on the surge that'll happen when we open up.stui magpie wrote:Take out today's result it looked like it was starting to flatten out but this suggests it's going to keep going up for a while yet.
