Important victory. Clokey thrashed Carey. Tarrant was a little quiet, but my prediction is that he's saving it for sydney  . Rhyce ran well off half back, once again. Walker seems to be lacking in the skills department, but he's got a good future with the pies. Adelaide seems to put to much of the workload on Mcloed. He's good, i'll admit, but he cant do all the hard stuff. Overall though i thought we played pretty damn well and will have the interstate teams looking over their shoulders.

Go Pies!

A good win.
Not a great win.
Lets beat those swanettes and consolidate top four next week.
Well done to cs for trying a few new chants.
The queen one is great.

Im a little chuffed at our win last night against a quality finals side, last week against brisbane we lost the game in the first stanza no doubt about that, when we won 6 games on the trot we were told it was only because of sub standard opposition everyone seems to have an excuse these days when beaten by the pies..yet we beat a good side and still the excuses roll in, its simple and it aint rocket science this club has won 7 of its last 8 games umm excuse me can some one come along and better that !!

Im also at the firm belief we are well capable of beating the swans next friday night so lets get the official excuse official so to speak..the only reason the pies beat sydney was because the swans rarely play on testra stadium there we go that should do it.

Now back to last night game i was very impressed with dids who once again showed what a great amount of class he has..fraser continues to shine on the eve of the finals i was indeed happy with the teams performance come the 3rd quarter..burns was sensational and must be favourite to win the copeland trophy..lokan continues to run and licca was back in touch which is a big plus with finals only 2 weeks away, bucks was brilliant after a somewhat slowish start..a lot of people bag mckee but i love the guy as he tries hard all night..woewodin and cole hold the ball for too long when they have possesion, rocca took some strong grabs during the game and poor old taz just couldnt get going and jimmy clements once again showed why he is all class.
To have a red hot go at winning this years premiership we will need the double chance we are well on our way to achieving that and furthermore there is something excitingly tough and gritty about this collingwood line up.

It was sensational night last night and a great bounce back after a poor pefromance last week! Im glad Dids got back to some form kicken a few goals so he will keep his spot in the side! Rhycey was absolutely sensational i love it when he come and gets the ball and runs and runs he is a bloody superstar future captain even just like Tony! I beleive the mighty magpies are back and will go to telstra stadium next week and massacre the swannettes COME ON PIES WERE ON THE ROAD TO THE HOLY GRAIL!

a good win but to be fair adelaide had some good players ou t with flu and injury so that has to be taken into account.

Disposal still lets us down at times if we get that right on the day look out.If we kicked straight it really could have been a percentage booster.

We beat them in the middle which was a factor in the win as fraser won some taps and importantly exposed clarke by pushing foward.Good to see cloke play a good game from last week and clement.Lica top game as burns, bucks, fraser, cloke, i could go on.

We must set ourselves for sydney that could get us second spot.Apologies to mick malthouse for doubting his selection of dropping molloy.

great match

it was an great match, our pressure and commitment were the highlights for me. and NO WE DIDNT MISS MOLLOY! our team had the balance between height and speed which we have so long lacked. we cannot have rocca tarrant molloy and josh in the same team at the same time, we become slow and laboured.

GO THE PIES ON TO SYDNEY!

Good to see we were more competent in the hit-outs too, instead of the usual blow-outs. 37-33 Crows way.

AGE - Spot on the money there mate - last week i predicted that Burnsy would poll higher than Bucks in the Brownlow and i got canned for it - i hold no doubt that this will eventuate.

Granted, I have the softest of spots for Burnsy - The bloke is an out and out champion and this year he has added an extra dimension to his game - he kicks goals.

Umpires love hard tackling midfielders who never mouth off - and now, with his goals and 5-8 more possessions a game than previous years, he stands out a mile on the field.

Good performance by the boys last night, nice and tight early, then smashed them in the third. Would have liked to see them go on with it in the last, percentage may be vital in the pursuit for a top four finish, but i guess i'll be happy with the 4 pts at this stage.
Beware the swooping Magpie.
