G'day everyone, just stumbled across this website for the first time. Great website...terrible game tonight. I'll wait a couple more games before too many doubts start to kick in. This club has a habit of bouncing back the week after a bad loss, especially after the media decides to write them off early for the season as they no doubt will this week.

It has nothing to do with Rocca... The ball never went in.. and when it did... It was slow and poorly delivered resulting in too many Richmond defenders being pushed back. Finding the perfect option is sometimes a health hazzard.
Our fitness and skill level is well below what should be expected of a side at this time of the year. Maybe no one cares that we lost the first game, but take a look at the sides coming up and it may click with you that this was a game that had to be won a) for confidence b) incase we did lose all our harder games.
We are currently playing like the worst team in the AFL. I went to see the Bulldogs in the pre-season with mates and sadly enough they look sharper and faster than us.
I was hoping tonight would take away my fears... Now im just plain scared

Our forward line, or lack of, was very evident tonight. We struggled so badly when the ball crossed the centre. This illustrates how crucial Rocca is to our game plan. I'm struggling to pull any positives out of this game. We could have at least blooded Richards instead of playing McKee. Shaw and Davis are in deep trouble, they'll both struggle to hold there spots. I'd rather see Swan and Davidson getting a run. No doubt we are well away from our best, but I'm sure this is all part of MM's plan. Let's just take a step back and re-assess in 3 or 4 weeks time. No need for concern just yet, Bitchmond flogged us in rd 1 2002 if you remember. There's a long way to go.
Well i aint terribly worried its only round one and we still got 21 weeks to go
Their is no doubt we are a little behind other clubs in preparation, some players i feel were found wanting in the fitness area.
This side is still pretty good and will be a force again soon, we will smash the bulldogs next week.
PS be careful when bagging us on tonights performance because i can promise ya it will come back tenfold to bite you on the bum!!!
