Truly cannot believe the less than glowing responses to that win. What a lot of negative supporters there are here!!
That first half was just brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Best performance of any team since the competition re-started. I suggest Pies4shaw that the wind went out of the Saint's sails because of the scoreboard pressure!!!
What really got my juices flowing was the toughness of some of our boys - Adams, Maynard, Jamie all suffered tough knocks, but powered on. Well done you tough nuts!!
Other impressions - WHE must have got a kick up the bum during the week, because he was back to his competitive best for the first half.
Mayne is an absolute work-horse and never ever gives up - his brilliant smother resulted in JDG goal.
The only change in my book is Coxy back for Cameron next week, all being well on the injury front. When Mason doesn't mark, he usually brings it to ground, whereas Cameron was just clearly out-pointed on several occasions.
Heaven forbid, but if that's the last game we see for a while, I am so gratified that it was a wonderful Pies win.

Went to Playing 1 Good Qtr to 2 Good Qtrs.
We where Fantastic in the 1st Half and Poor in 2nd Half. Saints Poor Goal Kicking in 3rd Qtr Stopped it turning into a Game
Adams was Best on Ground For Me and 1 of the Best Games I seen him play.
Good to see us take Advantage of Grundy's Ruck Dominance. Not just Scoring from Turnovers.
Elliot and De Goey where Poor For me. Got Beaten way too many Times.
Stephenson started on Fire but went quiet but that was no Big Suprise. Always a Threat to Kick a Goal when he is Near It.
Our Backline is Huge as they can keep scores down so we don't have to score Massive Scores.
Pendles and Steele was Great again though in 2nd Half Pendles missed a Few Targets.
Hopefully Adams,Moore and Maynard pull up well after getting Knocks during the Game

Haven’t read the other comments, thought tonight was a very professional performance given the circumstances. Hopefully next week is another step up. Thought Daicos did well again, Elliott was a lot more prominent than last week.PyreneesPie wrote:Truly cannot believe the less than glowing responses to that win. Total agreement here makri. What possibly goes unnoticed is that young Daics has an uncanny ability to be the "middleman" in a link of productive handballs. His improvement and value to the team this season has been great to see!!makri wrote: Thought Daicos did well again, Elliott was a lot more prominent than last week.

Because taking the foot off the gas and coasting, can have bad consequences. We need to play 4 quarters. 2 today was an improvement.Donny wrote:Professional.SteveH67 wrote:Carn the Pies
Ran out of gas in the 2nd half again though
Why bust a gut, this early in the season, when we had them on toast ?
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
