Adams is one midfielder that I would want there every game! His tackling pressure and hard ball gets are second to none and by my view the best in the comp. We don't realize how much we will miss him against the Tigers. He alone was a spine in the armour of the Tigers in that Prelim. Still that hard edge can be covered by Sier and Greenwood.
It doesn't much matter. He had a very slow start to 2018 (after, I think, a hampered pre-season) and didn't really influence games in the first half of the year. He gradually picked up momentum from about round 12 on. His Brownlow votes all came between rounds 15 and 22. All of his 30+ disposal games, all of his big clearance numbers and 13 of his 16 goals assists for the year came from round 12 on. They can cover his work for the early part of the year, provided he gets back.
I didnt think we had any Shaw's on our list. Only Brown's, Daicos's, Kelly's and Moore's!!! Do you know something we dont?think positive wrote:Love love love Taylor Adams, we will miss him for shaw, but we have good depth, and a great team attitude. and if we cannot win without 1 midfielder missing, then we aint got a hope in hell! A champion TEAM not a team of champions.
Get better soon Tay, We need you, for leadership and skills. but most importantly, get better properly and fully. cheers
i think you might be overlooking the significance of his absence in our early season struggles. Him and DeGoey.Pies4shaw wrote:It doesn't much matter. Believe it or not, both Aish and Brown are capable of playing the Tay Adams role. Now i don't expect either of them to get the nod to do that (since Pendles, Beams, Treloar, Sier and others are ahead of them in terms of midfield depth), but both have exceptionally good hands in the clinches and both are very good at getting their hands on the ball in those in and under situations.Mossi wrote: Adams is one midfielder that I would want there every game! In the case of Aish in particular, Tay Adams has been the biggest impediment to his development as he has had to adapt to the wing/HBF role as the only way to get a game.
